2 blocks. And I made it just fine. Hubby would kill me if he knew I walked alone in downtown Atlanta. I had my gun though.

Last time I was in Atlanta, I had a homeless "tour guide" that wanted a tip for him helping me find what I was looking for.

Evening everyone! Its been a long day. I had to deal with a Bosnian person today that spoke Englussian... Thank god for Google translate. Needless to say, that bail took extra patience... Ugghhh.

We have 2 regular customers that come in that speak no English. One is an older man that speaks Italian, and is very good with gesturing to let us know what he wants. The other is an older Hispanic lady, and she doesn't even try gestures. Just keeps talking in Spanish until another customer in line steps up to translate. Oh, and we occasionally get younger Japanese and Korean customers that know very little English, but usually they know enough that we can figure out what they need.

I try to be so patient, but luckily I'm pretty fluent in Spanish, which is what most of my client base speak. This guy was mixing Russian and English in the same sentence, and my head was spinning.

It's freakin' freezing in this room and there aren't any extra blankets. I turned the thermostat up to 69

Tiff, crank it up! You should have seen us in the hotel room on my first road trip. Me and Barb had spent most of the day riding our bikes south in the pouring rain, so we were both soaked when we got to the room. We both took our rain gear, leathers and boots and gloves, and spread them on the heater and all over the chairs and cranked the heat up. We each took a hot shower and put on some dry clothes and went out to eat. When we came back into the room, it smelled like warm cows! I can't imagine what the maids were thinking when they cleaned it the next day after our stuff was drying in there all night!

Oh, and I had a sheepskin seat cover that got soaked on the edges, so I used the hair dryer in the room to dry it out. That smelled like a wet dog!

Bamrz, I need to know what size the darn ground screw is. I finally put in a ticket on his website, someone answered and said they don't know, but were forwarding my question to the man himself. Nada. ugh. It's a simple question.
And I love your pi pie avi.

Yes, I have 3. HR, Flower and Mayan. I am done now.

Nighty night Tiff, have fun tomorrow!

I don't have one yet, a bit out of my price range. I'd break it, or lose it.

I keep eyeing them, but I can't spend that kind of money on a drip tip, sheesh.

I'm working.

You're always working. I think you're worse then me, and that's a terrible thing. :p

That has James written all over it!

I'm trying to "talk" to someone in Saudi Arabia over here. I'm not sure if we're both ready to laugh, or cry. At least my French customers and I do better. I think we got it now, and I am going home soon. *relief*

I made it to the hotel ~ thank goodness for GPS!! My roommate isn't here yet so it's just me. I'm thinking of walking down the street to Ruby Tuesday's for supper and a nice margarita. And I can have a BIG one since I'm not driving over there. I'll be back later.

Go, girl!

A tipsy, armed Tiff can NOT be good. Atlanta got off easy...THIS time.
