I posted this somewhere else, and don't want to re-type it. So I am doing the horrid copy/paste:
I just received flowers. The card says "Love, Steve" When we first moved here, Mr. V (his name is not Steve) sent me flowers while he was out on the road. The florist delivery guy could not find the house. He finally called and asked for directions. Then got lost again, so called again. About a half hour later the phone rings, yep, him again. He introduced himself as Steve, and asked if I would do him the favor of acting surprised when he got to my house. Of course I did.
That evening Mr. V called, and I proudly told him that some guy named Steve not only called me three times, he brought me flowers. Mr. V was not impressed.
"Steve" has been sending me flowers ever since.
