I'd be careful taking that dog. He looks enough like a chinchilla that you'd have to be on the alert for furriers.
This almost made me fall out of my chair.
Well that didn't work out as planned. Got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic, phone died, mustang started getting hot. Pulled over to let it cool down at a coffee shop, while I enjoyed an iced vanilla latte. Got back on the road, stopped and bought gas and a car charger and got there 10 min before they were done. All to find out, that we weren't allowed to watch the tryout anyways.home now. I need a drink. tryout results will be posted online at 7.
Let us know how she did! We have our fingers crossed....
Since everyone thinks this is hilarious, I'll just add that if that's what it took to get her on the squad, I'd do it. 2 bits 4 bits 6 bits a dollar!

It's been a loooooooong day. I was in class from 9 to 5:30. I ended up knowing about 3 people there from other advocacy classes and work I've done before. My roommate is very nice and we have a good bit in common. We stayed up until almost midnight last night talking.
Todays class focused mainly on the history of the disability rights movement and the history of how those with disabilities have been treated in society going all the way back to the 1500's. We went around the room and introduced ourself and told everyone why we were taking the class, etc. The whole time I'm thinking to myself "OMG, they get it, someone else really does understand and get it". Anyway, I won't bore you with all the details but there was a lot of info and I learned a lot today.
Alex called me about 4 times telling me he wasn't going to go to my mom's house tonight. He was in panic mode which put me on edge. Hubby called him and talked to him and then my dad got there and picked him up. Last time I spoke witth him he was fine. Thank goodness. I was worried I was gonna have to leave and go home. Anywho...
After class I came back and changed and about 7 of us went back to Ted's to eat. I only got sweet tea this time though
