Yup. They nest in these tall electrical towers near the Conowingo Dam. I never would have known about them but one of the ladies I ride with is an avid bird watcher and pointed them out for us. And I just now found out they have their own facebook page!

We have a pair about a 1/16 of a mile up the road from us. Pretty cool.

Nice! They are really wonderful to watch in flight. The FB pictures don't really give you much idea of their size, they look huge when they are flying!

Simon runs back to the house when he sees them, big chicken. They seem to soar a little lower then the hawks. Maybe that's just because they roost so close to us so we see them when they're just coming or going.

Good morning everyone.

Still moving kinda slow today. I cant take my rx drugs at work, so Im stuck with a double dose of Advil until we get to the beach. Mrs E doesnt drive on any trips longer than an hour.

But I will say that vicodin works great for a restfull sleep! I slept through a pretty substantial storm. Even Cocoa's shaking didnt wake me up.

Now that Ive almost gotten caught up with my main work, I get to focus on getting the warehouse cleaned back up. I know it will be destroyed while Im out tomorrow, but I cant leave with it looking like it does now.

Um, just a bit more than before I went on vacation.

James, I hope you get your back to feeling better soon!

And $300??? I think I'll just chase/scold her, or keep her on the leash/harness until she learns to listen. And if I get the back yard fence repaired, she can run all over the place! :)
The way our property is, it would be too much work to keep up with keeping the woods from over growing/overtaking any fence. An invisible one was our best option. Not to mention the cheapest.

Really? I thought you were the Buttered Rum man....Some man is...who is it? DUNDUNDUN....Mystery Man DUNDUNDUN... of Buttered Rum at Copper Creek..Starring Johnny Depp (of course) as the mystery man...fade to black...DUNDUNUN...
Nope, sorry, not me. It is Allazar that drinks the Buttered Rum.

I'd pay to see that...
Which part? Charli running laps around the neighborhood, or Xena unbalanced with her back feet in the air?

Yes, other dogs can still come in. And once your dog runs through they are afraid to come back as it will hurt. We went with a plain old fence.
I'd watch itty bitty dogs too, I've had a 6# chicken taken away by a hawk.
I wish we could afford a real fence. And had a property that would let a fence work.

We wanna see!
That reminds me.... Do you remember that tattoo design contest I did a couple years ago? I finally got it!

What she said!!!

Putting specials on the site right now.
Running to go look!!!

I think I need to get myself banned from the classies. It's dangerous in there.
Yes. Yes it is. Which is why Ive never become verified. Its safer this way.

We see them here too, they are gorgeous.
I love bald eagles. That may be why the only two tattoos I have are both eagles.

*runs to look*
