Our floors were concrete at the Florist shop. I got a fabulous mat..I stood on that floor for 40 years....No problems..It's easy to clean too.We just hosed it down.

It's concrete right now. But as I stand all day, that will be horrible on my feet.

Sure you can! Unscrew the base like you do to fill it, then grab the part that goes into the tank and unscrew from the base. You can run it under water, but watch out not to lose the o-rings. I put a finger over each end and just fluff the wick a bit under the water. Dry it off a bit and you're good to go!
