I wouldn't know what to do with it. How long is it usable?

I have mine in the deep freeze, more than 2 years from what I understand.

All the additives and stuff they allow in foods worries me. I stick to sugar and real butter, the imitations can cause health problems. I'm not to the point where I stay with organics, they are way to expensive and hard to find sometimes. But I do try to limit it, and eat more fresh seafood. I know that's not perfect either. Basically, if the ingredients are hard to pronounce, choose another brand.

My son with the migraines has changed his diet and is encouraging Jimmy to do it too.I never gave up butter or real sugar.I am a meat eater though and I like red meat.I can't hardly do chicken...
I'm not a fruit lover but I do like veggies...I do good cheeses too. No pre wrapped slices masquerading as cheese. What is that stuff?

Just a gentle reminder everyone, that while we are all a bit freaked out by the FDA and upcoming regs, this is still the Copper Creek forums. As that, it is one of two places where I actively pay to advertise Copper Creek juice. Please don't bury us until we're actually dead. Thanks.

Years ago there was a character actor(his name escapes me but I'll think of it) Anyway his son had autism.I think he was on the Mike Douglas show or Dinah Shore show and he was talking about how long it took for a diagnosis and there wasn't much hope for any real help.He said Hollywood snubbed him because his son would act out and then he cried..I was only a teenager then but this man loved his son sooo much and he was dieing on the inside...So It was about 1970 or 71 and no one had really heard about it.Now,I know so many people with Autistic children. My Sister's stepson has aspergers. My childhood friends Grandson has it.Your family is afflicted with it.Someone needs to trial aspartame. The 70's were about the time they took the sweetener Saccharin off of the market because of a cancer scare associated with it and they switched to aspartame.

That must have been before my time  but seriously, I understand that frustration. Even in todays times. I lost friends over it in the beginning because they just withdrew from me, didn't know what to say, couldn't understand the whole thing. Even today I have very few friends because they just don't get how my life works with two special needs kids. There have been times several years ago that I would have to leave a store because he was having a meltdown. I've actually had people say "if that were my kid....." I finally got over the fact that no one but my family understood and I couldn't count on the people that were once my friends.
I'm not sure if any studies have been done on aspartame. A lot of focus has been put on baby shots. Some say it's a genetic predisposition. And as far as the increase in numbers of children with autism, that is basically because it is understood more by doctors and more children are being recognized since not all cases fall into the "Rainman" catergory. I do know that at some point Alex changed. He developed normally and on time up until he hit 2 1/2, then it was like a whole different child and it took another almost three years to get a diagnosis.

Sorry if that's tmi, didn't mean to get ot.

It's frustrating for sure. And not tmi, many of us have family in the same circumstances.
