I can't think of a thing to buy for hubby's parents. They are the hardest people in the world to buy for. And a gift card is out of the question. The last time I gave them a gift card they turned around and gave it away several months later....to me. They forgot I gave it to them. She told me she doesn't used gift cards. :?:

Get them ugly sweaters. :)

 She'd donate them. She is strange. She'll give away gifts and forget who gave them to her. I once found a gift we gave her in the goodwill pile, unused. She told me to go through the pile to see if I wanted anything in there before she donated it.

Watching the Saints/Bears game... I NEVER EVER NEVER NEVER EVER NEVER thought I would be pulling for the Bears. Especially against an NFC South team. But, its the Saints. And I hate the Saints. AND if the Saints lose this game, Carolina will be division leader. With a record of 5-8-1. If Saints win, we'll be a half game out of the lead. Its sad to think that we still have even a glimmer of a chance to make it to the playoffs with that record.

Well, I made it to the half. And I cant stay awake any more. I'll figure it out tomorrow. Besides, tomorrow will be a fun filled day of redoing work. It makes me want to punch something.

Petfinder is a good site!

We give Shrek horse wormer for heartworm. Get it at the feed store for about $20 and lasts several months. The other two get theirs from the vet but in all honesty I only do it during the summer months when mosquitoes are at their peak.

I've wrapped two presents.
A whole two??? Mrs E's been busy. The only open seat in the mancave is my recliner. There is another recliner, couch, loveseat, and pool table covered in wrapped gifts. If there is one thing we do right, its do Christmas shopping throughout the year.

@James: I just told him. He said he doesn't get scared. He lives with me.
Hm. He may have a pretty good point there. ;)

You can do what we do. We told all of the adults on both sides of the family that they werent getting squat. At all. We purchase for niece (no nephews), and various cousins under the age of 16. Everyone else is out of luck. And we told them that we wont expect anything for us. If they still want to, we certainly arent too proud to say no, but they shouldnt feel any obligation to.

In our family the cut off is 16 too. It's impossible and way too expensive to buy for all of the adults.

We always had a $5 gift exchange among the adults. It was a riot. My favorite was the dancing hula girl that didn't work right from the truck stop. I spent $4, everyone had a blast with the silly thing on Christmas eve. It was so pitiful that it was hysterical. My oldest sister's MIL got it and had it dancing on a cocktail table all night. Part of the exchange is that when your number is drawn you can choose from the pile of wrapped gifts, or steal someone else's. She would not give up that hula dancer.

Good morning. Its gonna be a busy one today. Clean my sisters and groom her two dogs, doctor appointment at 1, and a meeting at Morgans school to go over her latest evaluation results at 3. Hubby will be home preparing his stuff to go hunting. He leaves tomorrow for three days in the woods.

I've yet to master that particular skill. I still cook like I have teenage boys.

That's ok as long as you eat leftovers well. I'm not great with leftovers....

Get them ugly sweaters. :)

I second this suggestion. They sound like umm...CHALLENGING people.

Or a hour by hour daily organizer. She could put that to good use on their next vacation.

I want your husband's life. I can't remember the last time I went hunting. It's been years.

Yesterday at the Happiest Place was everything I thought it would be, and more. The only bright spot was that I signed my sis and nephew into the park. I hope they had a good time.

Here's hoping today will be better!
