I have some soup in the freezer that I need to try to remember to pull out. I keep trying.

I'm thinking maybe chicken and dumplings later this week. Not today of course, everything's still in the freezer.

A couple of redneck hunters were out in the woods when one of them fell to the ground. He didn't seem to be breathing. His eyes were rolled back in his head. The other guy whipped out his mobile phone and called the emergency services.

He gasped to the operator, "My friend is dead! What can I do?"

The operator, in a calm soothing voice, said, "Just take it easy. First, let's make sure he's dead."

There was silence, then a gun shot. The guy's voice came back on the line.

He said, "Okay, now what?"

Just got home from the store...I didn't buy milk and bread on purpose....I did however freeze my AdoubleS off....Ohio has a propane shortage.I guess it's pretty serious...My helper uses it and she's having a hard time getting it.It is so freakin cold here.I may have to move her and the kids in here.She does have a woodburner but it's too cold for baths....

Yep, "they" are still calling for snow today. Last I saw the beaches would get 3-6 inches. Seriously. The beach is going to get more than we will. They are calling for 1-3 inches. And surprisingly, the state hasnt shut down. Yet. I hope it shuts down tomorrow. It would be nice being able to get some work done from the comfort of my couch. An email just came in. We just shut down our offices in Louisiana. Im sure AL, MS, GA, and at least the Orlando offices wont be too far behind. Im still hoping for ours to get closed.

Thats about all Ive got this morning. All you crazy people that live farther north, please stay warm. Those temps are dangerous.

Good morning - hope everyone survived the night without freezing. Talked to my oldest in Wake Forest yesterday and they're expecting up to 8" of snow. and our non-winter here in SoCal goes on. High of 77 today. This is just weird.

Late checking in today. I got lost on Pinterest. That site is quite the time sucker.

I finally got to sleep around 2 and was up at 6'ish. Alex was excited there was no school. He was quite disappointed and mad when he found out that he still has to do school today because he goofed off too much yesterday. So Morgan is out of school and Alex is working on his home school work on the computer.

It's officially sleeting right now. Supposed to turn to snow shortly. The temp has definitely dropped since I took the dogs out early this morning. Looks like I'm gonna have to make a run to the store. Ugh! It seems that the kids have gone through all FIVE boxes of cereal I bought a week and a half ago. And we have no eggs either. I just went to the store and filled up everything and you'd think they were starved the way they attack it.

I have an doctors appointment today. Wonder if I'll get a call canceling it. If not, I'm still going. Stay warm everyone!! Except Rick.

I got home and it was nice to be in the nice warm house. I looked at the thermostat... 52* it's 20 degrees above freezing and it feels warm. T
Yep, work was that cold. The furnace don't stand a chance against this cold. I'm slipping into bed see y'all later.

Yes, I know. I wish I could have some chickens. I do have a deep backyard and neighbors on only one side and woods between us. I would have a hard time convincing hubby of it though. *sigh*

I've already been to the store and back. Still just sleeting but cold as heck.

Morning everyone. We survived our -50 night. It's warming up and we are expecting a heat wave of -20 today. All schools are closed due to the wind chills. brrrrrrrr...... thank heavens for the woodstove, it's getting a serious workout.
