Good morning.

Today is my sil's baby shower. Hubby's been loudly grumbling about having to go. He asked if I had anything to do with making it a couples shower. Nope, sure didn't.

I went to my mom's late yesterday to drop off Morgan and she and I went through some of her stuff and came up with some stuff to use to display items on for the craft show in May. I've already gotten my .... in gear and am making stuff like crazy. I don't know if I'm going to put them on etsy or ebay yet until after the show. I've got a ton of stuff to do to get ready for it but my mom is good at stuff like this so she's helping me. I decided I needed a color theme. Black, white and guess.......PINK! I bet you never would have thought that about me. I want to turn the sewing machine on right now and do some stuff but Alex is asleep on the couch. I'll settle for cutting patterns out of fabric.

Tiff, you answered correctly. No man every appreciated a co-ed baby shower. We are like fish in a forest...we just don't fit it there. Black, white and pink should be very cool together!

I added that on the home page. Too late to add it to the newsletter. Carts are filling up, we're in trouble in the morning.

On the bright side, it's one mix per bottle, right? Normally you would be mixing 4 or more times to make 120 ml. :D

Too late!

Ugh, Bamrz. Hope it's easily and cheaply fixable and you don't lose any food.

Stretchy, you can use mixes, but it's SO easy to make your own and it's cheap. buy a jar of yeast and a few basic ingredients (whole wheat flour, bread flour (you can use all-purpose in most machines as well), rye flour if you like rye bread, and then others depending on recipe. Common ones are instant potato flakes (either in the recipe, or mixed up into mashed potatoes real fast and cooled, then used in the recipe, shredded wheat biscuits, rolled oats....

If you have the time and enjoy baking bread, you can set the machine up to do the mix and first rise, then knead it for the second rise and put it into a loaf pan to do by hand from there. That's what I always do (I'm baking a couple of loaves today).

Here is a link to a very cheap and excellent bread machine recipe book:
Bread Machine Magic

I got that book back in the early 90's and it has a ton of great recipes, with options for 1, 1.5 and 2 lb loaves, along with a ton of helpful hints.

Home-baked bread is super cheap, easy to make and tastes fantastic.

Speaking of bread machines.I picked out a different one. I may even like it better than the cancelled one.It makes 1 LB loaves....Now for the 64,000 dollar question.Do you buy prepared mixes or follow recipes or...whatever? Do you buy bread bags or eat it all in one sitting? Can you make jam at the same time you are baking the bread?

My machine came with a pretty comprehensive recipe book, and their website has even more recipes. I like using recipes so I can tweak it depending what I'm specifically in the mood for. I haven't purchased bread bags, but I'm going to amazon to look for them now. I just use plastic bags to put the loaf in. The last one I made was still fresh 4 days later. I can't make jam at the same time I'm baking the bread, because I'm going to try using the jam setting on my break maker instead of cooking the jam on the cooktop.

Ya, it's a cheap fix but it's a PITA. :(

The freezer is still frozen but the fridge is about 50 degrees. Found out by googling the first time it's usually caused by the freezer door being not closed all the way and humidity collecting and freezing on the coils. The solution is to remove everything and unplug it, let it defrost and it's fine. But a huge mess. :(

Back from the grrrstore. I sure do dislike that place. As we passed the eggs I asked Mr. V if we should grab a few dozen. If looks could kill.....

JD, go buy a new one. No sense fighting with the old pita.

Know were your coming from. Ended up buying a new one last summer. The batteries were almost as much as new so went with new.

I have one good battery left but it won't stay in. It keeps dropping out every 5 seconds. Usually on to my foot. I've already made one trip to Lowes today. I really didn't feel like going again.

sent from my HTC One now craptastic thanks to tapatalk

I got 2 different kind so far. The ehpro are the best.

I've been considering trying a Russian 91% since I've heard so much good feedback on them, and it's getting harder and harder to find Vivi Nova replacement heads (at least the actual Vision ones) cheap. My only hesitation (besides the expense!) is that I don't want to mess with making my own coils. I keep hearing FT has pre-built coils with wicks cheap, but I searched yesterday and couldn't find them.

I found the EHPro 3.1 for $60 just now in a quick search. Don't know if that's a good price or not since I didn't shop. Any idea how the 91% stacks up against the EHPro Kayfun? I think the Russian 91 has adjustable air flow, right? How does the Kayfun handle tipping? Any leaks?
