Sounds like everyone is having a nice day with decent temps, except FV's snow last night. It's 76 here right now. Feels great outside.
It's been one of those days for Morgan. We had to do a med change with Morgan last week and today she had yet another neurological reaction to this med. This is the third med she's had a neurological allergic reaction to. She had tremors so bad that she couldn't even write. Her head was shaking from side to side and her legs were wobbling. The school nurse called me three times in an hour. I was almost an hour away and was trying to get a hold of the doctor. I called the doctor, got recording. Called a few minutes later, got receptionist and explained it to her and told her it was very important that she get the message to him ASAP so I'd know what to do and whether it was a side effect or reaction to the new med. I got pizzed after an hour and called back. She said give her another twenty minutes. So she finally calls me back and said the doctor says to take her from 300 mg to 150 mg. I got MAD! She's only on 150 now! What the hill are you talking about? In the mean time, how do we get her to stop full body shaking? She says she'll have to talk to the doctor again. I decide to go pick Morgan up at school. After an hour there still no word from the doctor. I get to the school and my mouth almost hit the floor when I saw how bad it was. I immediately called the doctor back and told them that if I had to sit on the phone and wait I would but I wanted an answer now! They put me on hold and got disconnected.

I gave her a benadryl to see if that would help. I didn't bother calling the doctor back. Talked to hubby and the benadryl has helped and we are NOT going to give her the med anymore. The doctors office JUST now called me back, two hours after the last call. I hate, hate, hate all these meds. I wish I could take her off everything and start over but that would require a trip to the hospital for a few days. She is fine now thank goodness. If you'd seen her you'd have thought someone was shaking her. It was awful. I'm just glad the benadryl helped. /rant.
