Sorry to hear you're hurt...Bright side you can bake bread everyday...
Nice James looks like youns will have lots of space. I'm OK stepped wrong felt it tearing. Didn't fall though. That's a good thing. Since it's a muscle and not a tendon it has to heal on its own. So I'm in one of those boots up to my knees. follow up in 3 weeks. Off the rest of this week and no excess walking when I go back to work.

Mr V said, cool! He has enough bedrooms for us to move in.
As a matter of fact, we DO!!!! COME ON DOWN!!!!

No, seriously.

Did I mention I cook. In that massive kitchen?

What about the pool table thats going in the bonus room?

Or the home theater system that will take over the bedroom downstairs?

Or the firepit that I intend to build in the back yard?

My mom said we'll need to put tracking devices on the kids when theyre inside... I said that's too expensive. Cowbells are MUCH cheaper.

That makes me hurt just thinking about it. I know it hurts like crazy, but at least it doesnt require surgery AND it didnt make you fall. That wouldve been so much worse.

Helouise is doing good but time will tell.
Better is always better!

Snowing here. So pretty.
Wow, seriously...? Our freakin' air conditioners just kicked on! We've been in the upper 60's all week. Shorts and t-shirts weather.

I just came home from a meeting at Morgan's school with the special ed coordinator. We were trying to come up with a plan for helping Morgan more in math. She's been failing all year long pretty much and being in a class with three teachers should have helped but isn't. There were four options she came up with and one was to not do anything. Really?? You're proposing that to me as an option?? The other three options sucked as well and didn't seem to be the right fit without her suffering in other areas of school. At the end of the meeting she lightly mentions that they have before and after school math tutoring. I immediately thought "WTH didn't that come up months ago???" But I kept my tongue in check and said that I opted to go with that option, even though it wasn't proposed as an option. She's supposed to be getting the specifics for me so we can get that started. A teaching degree obviously does not come with a course in common sense.

One other thing too. My son Jimmy wasn't so good in math. They had to pass a year of algebra. He did half of the class his freshman year and the other half his sophomore year. They took a full school year to go over half of the book. It really helped him and I at the time thought it brilliant.

Morgan's in a basic math class with three teachers. She's also in a grade repair class for math to help repair her past grades to bring them to passing. She gets to use a calculator, and isn't timed on the morning prep quiz like the other students are. These are all things we've come up with based on her psych/educational eval that has been done that shows her strengths and weaknesses and specifies her learning disabilities. Now we're going to add tutoring in the mix. Hopefully this will help. Next year in high school, they do a full years worth of a subject in one semester. That's a good idea to see if it can be spread out. I'll definitely be checking on that.

Good morning!

Our days of shorts and t-shirts are gone again. Looking at highs in the 40's. And because the id10t weather guessers MENTIONED snow/ice, everyone has lost their minds. Down in Charlotte, he said there MIGHT be a snowflake or two. The farther west and north has increased chances, but not where we are. And lets not forget that its been nearly 70 degrees for the last few days, meaning, that even if it does snow or sleet, there would have to be a LOT of it for it to stick, which aint gonna happen. Still... aside from it being a little cooler, its supposed to be a pretty nice day. The rain wont move in until late this evening.

Still no word on the house yet. Seriously hoping we get the good news today.

Mrs E's van shouldve been fixed by yesterday, but it wasnt. It should be ready today though.

We got a call from the coach of the team that Kat tried out with Sunday. SHE MADE THE TEAM!!!! Kinda. She tried out for their "03" team. And the coach told me that it was obvious that she was rusty from not practicing over the winter, but even with that being considered, she made mistakes in the field. So, what he's going to do, is move her to his 14U team who plays at a lower level of competition. He said that even with the mistakes, he and his coaches were seriously impressed with how well she took direction, her positive attitude, and her ability to make changes. It was obvious she had some skills, but the fact that she showed that those skills are able to be honed is what got her on the team. He talked with his coaches for hours Tuesday night because he really didnt have room on either team, but he didnt want to lose the chance to have her on the team. He also said that if he needed an extra player on the 03 team, he would probably pull Kat down to them to fill the roster. What that boils down to is that she gets more time on the field. And a positve for us, is the fact that this team is a part of a larger organization. So as the team gets older and moves up in the age groups, they'll be able to stay together as they age out of each division. Kathryn is really excited. She liked the coaches and the girls on the team a lot. From what I saw, I really think that this guy will be able to take her abilities to the next level.

Still no word about the house yet. I'm praying we get good news by the end of the day today.

Ummmmm..... OH! I'm back down to 200 pounds! That puts me at 7 pounds lost in the last 3 weeks! IF IF IF IF I can keep this up, I should be able to meet my goal of 180 by July 4th!

Tiff, dont get too discouraged. I respect teachers a lot. They have a very difficult job of educating today's youth and shaping them to be contributing members of society. Unfortunately, some of them are just dumb. At the very least, not that creative when it comes to developing an unorthodox method of teaching.

Drott, I know you arent in here yet, but I hope you and Wheezy are feeling better!!!!!

PD! I dont think I saw you around yesterday.... I have COFFEE!!!!!

FV.....um..... uh..... Yeah, I got nuthin'.

Bamrz......um..... HI!

SP. I meant to say this the other evening.... If this house is haunted, its because the spectre followed us. We think we had at least one that followed us from Norfolk to this house. She might follow us to the next one too. We dont mind her. She doesnt really bother anyone.
