Yes indeed, I have 5 of them ( one in each color and two brass ) and they all have that particular characteristic ( play ). At first it bothered me a little but I quickly got over that given the price point and how well they work.

These are now the devices I carry with me when working or out and about ... well, not the brass ones for obvious reasons but still, it's nice not to have to worry too much about damage, breakage, loss or it 'disappearing'! :D

The one you said is off centered are they all the same ?

Have you been following all the responses and answers ? We ALL tried to help but Lazee answers before people even complete offering solutions , thats my problem .

I respect your opinion though , i am just not easily fooled .

Nevermind , it's not worth dragging out , not in the mood to engage in an all out brawl to the death today . Hopefully Layzee will get it fixed.

No "All out Brawl to the Death". LOL. Just not seeing any big Deception.

About all I'm seeing is One Person having a Problem with a mod.

I guess you would have to go back and read the posts by Layzee after solution after solution was offered to help . I have never seen so many immediate discounts for suggestions to help in my life , you get to a point where it does not make any sense and it cannot be possible .

I think what you and Sawlight offered is outstanding , well done.

And I can't count all the times I've beat my head trying to figure something out just to have someone walk up and say "Well there's the problem!" Sometime another set of eyes, or a different line of thinking, can fix a complicated problem easily.

Exactly!

I guess my Expectations of how someone should Except Help from others is just Lower than Yours.

And I don't think what I or sawlight offered is all that Outstand. Seems like a Small Price to pay to help someone. And to get this Thread back on a Friendlier Tone.

@herb

I suggest you go back and read through the entire thread, maybe start with the first post :) are you really suggesting that I started this thread months ago just so I could trash CV? What exactly would I gain from that?

I purchased the mod direct from CV, as when I purchased it there was no other option, Fasttech and the others were not stocking them. When I had issues they sent me replacement parts free of charge, I praised them for that on this thread.

I have repeatedly said that the mod represents reasonable value for money despite the intermittent problem I have, anyway I am glad yours works

Oh and my wife will confirm that I definitely a fella!

@zoiDman & @sawlight Thank you for the kind offers of help, but I will resolve the issue myself. I am pretty certain that its the negative side of the circuit causing the intermittent problem that I have, I will just drill and tap the body of the mod and put a couple of M4 screws through the top part. That will sort it out for sure. I have not bothered to do it until now, cause well I am just to layzee.

Oddly enough, only one of the brass ones has the slightly offset battery cavity but all of them have a small amount of play in the top cap.

I only mentioned the offset because I was thinking maybe this coupled with a skewed button might be contributing to what Layzee was experiencing ... just throwing ideas around. :)

That happens to me all the time , sometimes we over think an complicate things , a fresh pair of hands an eyes usually brings up something thats so simply overlooked [emoji106]

At first my expectations are low but as time goes on and every possibility is exhausted i tend to call BS as common sense dictates that .

I also standby what i said about the niceness of the offer , that type of offer has weeded out a lot of BS ers in the past since most immediately accept IF the problem really was a problem & always reject it if it never was a problem to begin with .

I know i am alone in thinking this way and that is A OK with me , seen this stuff way too many times over the years , i will leave it at that .

Layzee, I hope you post your results and method if you get it fixed. I'm in a similar situation as you.

When the mod fires, it is wonderful. But it is an intermittent problem. I've disassembled, cleaned, noaloxed, and reassembled several times. It may hit well for one minute or for an hour, but it always goes back to misfiring or having a very weak vape. I have found that pushing on different sides of the button can affect how much power is put out. (I've left the screw in the button fairly loose and have tightened it so much that you cannot rotate it to the off position without effect.)

I've come to the conclusion that the issue is on the negative side, but really don't know how to fix it other than cleaning and applying Noalox between the top and bottom. I look forward to seeing your solution.

I hope mine are great when they arrive and you guys just got lemons. ;)

What scares me is that Layzee and you seem to better versed in all things squonkidelic than I. I can't wait until I start posting my stupid CV questions!
