I will reinforce what the others have said that this will definitely be a cost savings (and health saving) venture for me.

I'm only a couple of weeks into this and I initially bought some 'hardware' that is now in the discard pile. I decided to just bite the bullet and get a high end APV and will be going the DIY ejuice route.

So with all of these capital costs, my break-even will be a little more than two months after I started. After that point, I will probably be spending about 10-20% as I was on smokes on a monthly basis.

I spent a lot until I found what I liked. Now I spend less.........except for those months that I get a chance at a lava tank.......or a unique tank.....or some lovely bedazzle tubes. Honestly I went crazy for the first year........but now I'm reeling myself in, and I'm trying to keep the habit at about $125 per month, which is about 1/3 of what I spent smoking cigarettes.

I now spend about $30 a month on vaping. I was spending that in less than a week of smoking. Once you find your hardware and juice setup of choice vaping is easily cheaper than smoking. Until then you may spend more but you will not be inhaling all of the nasty additives in cigs.

I got lucky with a wife that supports the fact that I quit the stinkies. :)

I must be one of the odd ones...

I'm only 22, and was smoking about 2 yrs. but unlike some hardcore "vets", a pack would last me about a week to a week & 1/2.

While I may spend more on vaping than my $4.25 pack of Camel menthols from the pharmacy, I def have saved on listerine and cologne costs (secret smoker. Even my gf didn't know..). Not to mention the adverse health effects.

lol I've spent more than I smoked, going to take me until July for it to even out....if I don't buy anything else. I see new things, and I end up buying them :( I'm trying to slow down my vaping spending habit

I'm 6 weeks tobacco-free and I feel your pain. Between getting new juice delivery systems for my Volt X2's and discovering new juices, I'm way over budget. Also, I'm trying a nicotine level that I won't OD on because I've become a chain-vaporer (at my 60+ years) :vapor:
I discovered MEL's ice collection and have to try everything. At least if we have a harsh winter this year, I'll be all set and won't have to plow through the snow to get cigarettes. Soooo in that respect, I will be saving.....

It took me about 8 months to break even. I bought 2 starter kits, some egos and a Provari. I tried a tonne of clearomizers and cartomizer set ups, but eventually settled on something that works for me.

I now go months without spending anything on vaping, I average out around $30 a month now vs over $200 when I smoked.

Not sure if this is happening to all vapers.. With time this become like a gadget hobbie, suddenly you notice that you have enough stuff to vape for a year, but you want more... even that you have new packed stuff getting dust and with no intention to use it....
Yes to the gadget hobby but i do use all my stuff. my only waste is the same as all (bad juice) learned to by sample sizes.

I got my deluxe starter kit & loved it from the start. I know I am going to save so much money & my lung tissue.
I read the forum posts after I got my kits. I read about the flavors everyone was raving about on there & ended up checking Heather's Heavenly Vapes to find the "Gandalf" (it is a great tobacco flavor). I also ordered some of the cinnamon "Fireball" , not too sweet. I like the sample pack I got of 4 tobacco flavors too. So far the Dark Horse & Georgia Peach are awesome too.
The prices were right & I should be set for quite awhile at about $120 to start. I have to see how long my supply lasts.
I wasn't a heavy smoker so I seem to do fine with just a few vapes at a time. Can't wait to let the cigs go for good & I am close!!!
