Cotton for NT?

Cotton is white...not perfectly white...check those hand picked balls, you will find little brown flecks....the non organic cotton balls we use for regular things are bleached to be perfectly white....I have never seen fully brown cotton, but I have seen shades from pinkish to tan....hard to tell if the OPs packaging had any tint to it.

After running the cotton through a mill to remove the seeds (which are a bit sticky and dark) I imagine that makes the fibers brownish but the cotton starts out really white...

And what Dani has is most likely Ramie named "Angel Hair Cotton" by those who like using ramie to wick and formed the name as a buzzword I'm guessing...I have Ramie, it is about the dark as organic cotton from health food stores but is not lightened through using peroxide (more "organic" than bleach I guess...)

Cotton seeds are rather large, in relation to the size of the boll. The flecks are simply shrapnel from the pod. I believe Megan is right, in that Dani's is Ramie. Cotton is not silky unless it is processed into super tight twists which also makes it thicker.

My mom and dad both worked in a cotton mill for years. The cotton would come in in bales and leave out as threads on cones. It was an awesome process to watch. It would go from bales to carded to twisted to spun and then wound.

I guess you didn't read the link....they (whoever they are exactly) can and do cross pollinate cotton plants to achieve colors.

And then, as you said, there is ramie....missed the silky part of this....either way ko gen do is in dani's future, which is good.
