Cotton for NT?

I am expecting some yummy steeped NT flavors from a friend that I am dying to try with my rda. I think I mentioned that I had to order the cotton online. It came today (I bought two) and I was expecting a large bag of cotton the B&M store used. Instead, I opened my tiny package to this:

Is this normal or did I get ripped off?

Depends on what it is, and what you paid? It doesn't look like standard cotton balls. Looks a bit more extravagant.

Cotton should be white, no idea ... that is....hemp fiber? horse hair?

I would just go to Walgreens, WalMart, etc. and buy a bag of Organic cotton balls. Why do they look brown?

it will last you a really really long time. as soon as you get used to what you need, you'll see what I mean.

I bought the CVS sterile rolled cotton box for $5- lifetime supply.

edit: is that tint from the bag, or what is that?

Maybe the white balance is off on the camera?? LOL I have the cvs organic and that has now taken a solid place in my cabinet since i bought shisheido from sephora

For the price you told me you paid, that's a pretty small amount. For about $20 and change you could have got a box of Koh Gen Do Japanese organic cotton that's the size of about 5-6 DVD's stacked on top of each other. The other thing is the coloration of it, it's almost the same color of the cotton that comes out of my atty after using it for awhile. I've never seen the yellow before but maybe someone else can attest to that.

I also use Koh Gen Do and love it, straight fibers, easy to work with and doesn't colour the flavour, so no break-in period that I used to get with the cotton balls.

I think the organic cotton it usually bleached with hydrogen peroxide to make it white, but I don't think it's that dark untouched.

No help here. I use rayon (I think it significantly outperforms cotton). I got a lifetime supply of Tencel top for $17 shipped from Mielke's fiber arts.

It looks like more of "steeped cotton"!I think it was wet and then dried!Dont vape with that,just buy some sterile cotton!You can find it anywhere!

That's my favorite thing about it, when "unrolling" Walgreens organic cotton balls I always wound up with a bunch of little pieces I couldn't use.

It does say right there at the bottom may be a darker shade....

Guess the only way to know if it works is try it, but in the future there are more cost effective options.

Get a uniform end together and wet your thumb and forefingerfinger (however you see fit) then twirl it between the 2. This should give you a tight roll.

Yep. You'll get used to the wet and roll method.

FYI Rayon is worse.

Spend $10 at Macy's or similar for a HUGE bunch of Shiseido cotton pads. Works as well as anything. 165 sheets and I get 6 wicks or more(depending on micro or macro coil) from each pad.
