That's the beauty of vaping. There's a lot to it.

Vertical wicking on a REO Grand sounds interesting. Do you have pics of it? I'll have to try to ekowool. Where's a good place to get some? For eckowool, I'd probably want something that would fit in a 1/16 Microcoil snuggly. I'll try the 1ml or 1.5ml. 2ml Silica won't fit, so Eckowool probably won't either.

Ed, i posted some (bad) pics inthe Dealing with the A7 sub-thread, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/401265-dealing-a7-8.html

Been using thatsetup for the past 3 weeks (alternating with the rm2) without rewuicking, just a dry burn and different juice comes in without weird taste

Good pictures dhomes. I didn't know there were SS Mesh alternative ways with the REO. Most folks are using Cotton in it. Since I prefer all NET Tobacco flavors, I may just stick with Mesh. It's easier to work with than Cotton is since a lot of NET's tend to gunk up some. Will have to say one thing. I'm finding that Mesh works much better with Microcoils or Minicoils than standard wraps.

I am eyeing the REO, and may get one around Christmas. But for now, the exploration into getting the Genesis style atomizer to work good is fun and challenging. ;)

good deal ed. i just ordered my 2nd one yesterday, less than a month after receiving my first one

Now i only use the tubes for dripping, no more genesis for dhomes ;) (although I may get a fogger v2 to leave on top of provari)

i tried horizontal ss wich with the RM2 but was not as successful, since it's a small diameter rda the length of the mesh wick is just too small to work with

but silica / cotton / ekowool goes to the rm2 for sure

On my A7 I use xc-116 and it is the best! It wicks well and does not burn up. I can dry burn my coil in it, rinse it and it is like new. The same set up has lasted weeks with no need to recoil or wick.

On the RM2, I tried cotton but don't care for it at all. It gets wet from the squonking, but I am not convinced it wicks well. I have bamboo yarn in it now and that has improved it. I am thinking just the way the yarn is made may help with the wicking. I just bought some ekowool and will be trying that out next coil.

I have not tried mesh yet, but have plenty of it for my gennies. If I did try it, I would most likely sleeve it with the ekowool but it is pretty tight in there so I will probably just coil right onto some ekowool before sleeving mesh. I am hoping the ekowool will be as good as the ceramic which is hands down the best I have tried.

Has anyone had success with ceramic in the rm2?

I haven't because it is so tight in there and my xc is pretty big. You don't have a lot of juice in the RM2 to soak up (since it drains back) like you do in an A7, and the A7 is roomier. Stuffing it in an RM2 just seemed overkill. I bought the smallest ekowool I could find instead and am looking forward to trying it.
