Ok I usually use my Vanilla mod (18350 battery) with my kayfun lite and I like it but I hate that the battery dies too quick. So I just started using my Segelei telescoping mod (18650 battery) with the same kayfun but I start to cough with it and my chest hurts too, what is going on here? its frustrating cause I want to use the 18650 battery.

batteries im using
Efest 18350 800mah
Efest 18650 2000mah

PG/VG is likely drying out your throat. Try drinking more water and staying hydrated. Nic level (not bad at 6mg) is also a chief contributor as well as voltage. You may also find that reducing the vapor to something similar to a cigarette puff will help. Blowing clouds is fun, but the bigger the cloud the greater the drying effect on your throat, sinuses, and lungs.

.9 ohms at 3.7v (nominal) is 15 watts and 4 amps. You are hitting the upper current cutoff limit of the Sigelei. There you may find the culprit. Set the Sigelei to 6 watts, vape a while and see if things improve. If things get better, raise your wattage slowly until you find the range where you get vaping satisfaction without the cough and lung irritation.

Where is the air intake on the original KFL?

Or do you mean the KFL+?

It's either the airflow or the voltage. If the voltage is higher on the Sigelei (and on an 18650 it probably will be over most of the time you're using it, although the resistance of the mod will be a factor too) it will burn hotter, so you might need to increase your resistance to compensate.

My guess is that the 18650 is running at a higher voltage. Although both batts have the same nominal output voltage, the smaller 18350 may not be able to supply enough current to drive a 0.9-ohm coil, so you may be vaping at a lower power than you think with the 18350.
(On the other hand, these are both supposed to be high-discharge-rate batts).

Another possibility is that the Vanilla has a higher contact resistance than the Segelei, hence the cooler vape.
