People are here are so wonderful so never be afraid to ask anything at all. And beside, who could get nasty with someone name Tickles? Your question has already been answered but if you are interest in trying some with tobacco in it, I have heard and read really good things about Whole Tobacco Alkaloid WTA Eliquid Ejuice

Good luck to you and happy vaping. :)

I got nasty with someone named "Tickles" once, but that's a whole diff. forum needed for that story...

On topic: @ badevil777: what flavor and brand are you getting this taste from? I've had a similar sensation, but it wasn't the juice. It was my coils. I increased the diameter I wrapped on and it was a more hot and intense vape, giving it a burnt scratchy initial taste.

As answered above they typically do not, and I find it very hard for a liquid to imitate the flavor of burning tobacco. Yes the mg listed is the amount of nicotine provided in the juice. If you are just making the switch from regular cigarettes I would recommend other flavors, check out different sites you can find pretty much any flavor you could possibly imagine out there

Posted thIs in another thread. Any suggestions on a brand of juice that doesn't feel like I inhaled a brillo pad?

I find that most irritation, tingling feelings, burning feelings, and other weirdness come from too high a nicotine level. "Too high" being something that can vary wildly between people. My opinion, it's a common mistake to try to categorize X amount of nic (like "18mg") in terms of "low", "medium", "high" and so forth. The more I see here on the forum, the more convinced I am that it's a very personal thing. My "high" can be your "low".

In fact, I remember, back in my earlier days, running into another ECF member who had a smoking history very similar to mine. But our vaping went in totally opposite directions. I dropped lower on the nic content (I use around 9 to 12mg/ml these days). He went up. I mean UP. As in 36mg. Made my eyes bug out. :)

(NJoy disposables? They're in 36 to 45mg/ml territory. Once in a while, I get one or a few because they're so "cig like". Maybe it's because I had such a long term habit, I get the "urge" to do the whole smoking "thing". Like... play smoke? Anyway, NJoys work for that. But use them regularly? I'd never sleep. It's like some kinda coffee buzz. Worse even. :) )

Anyway.

It's worth cutting your nic. And by big chunks. Like in half. See how that works. Even if you find yourself vaping more (even "chain vaping"), big whoopee. It'll level out as you find a combination that works for you.

(I notice, a year and change now into the vaping thing, my vape habits now mimic my old smoking habits in a lot of ways. Over time, I've learned--unconsciously--how to "regulate" my nicotine intake to hit about the same levels I was used to when smoking. Sitting here at the keyboard, typing a post like this, I reach for the VTR about as often as I used to reach for the cig. If I'm up and about and busy, it's in my pocket and I take short "pauses" to puff away a bit then get back to doing whatever. If I'm watching a show or movie, I'll "chain" vape. Tended to do exactly that when smoking. Dunno. It's funny. Whatever level of nic your body is used to, you're going to unconsciously "seek" that level. But hitting the right "delivery" set up in terms of juice and device and whatever, that can take some playing around to see what works.)

Also, I don't recall you mentioning your PG/VG ratio. Higher proportions of PG increase "throat hit". Which some prefer. I don't care as much for it (even as a smoker, I like "smooth") so I lean more toward VG which is more "muted". I basically split the difference and did 50/50 juices. I have, over time, drifted more to the PG side but around about 60/40. Get too high on the PG (like an 80/20) and I don't care for it. Also, VG is better at vapor production. Part of my smoking... habit?... thing is the whole inhale and blow out smoke... ritual? I like vapor. So I stay around 50 to 60% PG.

Finally, if you're doing variable voltage or wattage, you may be running too hot. I gave myself "vaper's tongue" running hot and over doing it with a flavor I just could not get enough of. I think I scorched my taste buds right off. :)
