Could you build an E-Hookah using USB passthroughs?

Could you use 2-4 of these USB passthroughs, have them plugged into outlet adapters and a small multi outlet strip hidden in the body of a hookah?

I was looking at getting a passthrough for when I am at my desk when this just hit me!

Decorate the wires, get the elongated fancy drip tips... seems like a fun project... any thoughts?

you could do this by drilling through the glass vase of a hookah and using an electrical power cord and a grommet to run a self powered usb hud that produces the required power output and run the cords through fake hoses and make a multi-hose "hookah" in theory i guess would be a pretty neat project and for the price of those not too expensive if you have an old hookah to spare

I am thinking of finding some olde tymie radio or strange piece of electronics as a base... I also want to make a holder for spare tanks... ooh... I actually have a movie quality darth vader helmet laying around... SCORE!!!

I don't think it would have enough power for more than one passthrough. The power adapters that go with those things are only rated for 2 amps (or something like that). It would work fine for one person at a time, but not if used as a hookah with two or three other people.

Maybe a regular extention cord with a powerstrip with 4 regular outlets. 4 USB to 110v adapters... I was thinking the USB hub wouldnt be strong enough after I thought about it.

true didnt really research the limits it was all off the top of my head but the idea of a electronic hookah is intriguing to say the least a definite convorsation piece if you make one would love to see pics

There are USB hubs that run off wall current that you could conceivably plug up to eight (edit: or six, maybe) passthroughs into. Safe? Not sure. Interesting idea? Yep.

or, or, or... if you are mechanically inclined you could create a battery hub mount that into a hookah like stand... run the usb connectors up to the top... and plug the passthroughs in there...

in doing so you can create a portable e-hookah... i have toyed with this idea... and was hoping it would stay under the radar or at least in peoples heads until i did it... but since you brought it up, i thought id share...
