Or if you're desperate, $45 for a gallon of "veterinary use only" propylene glycol at the local Co-Op farm store, treats ketosis in cattle! :p

I've tried to buy PG at local pharmacies before, with no luck.. I get funny looks and either a flat "no", or the counter person claims to not know what it is. I get mine from Jack at Happy Vaper generally, and VG from Michael's with their 50% off coupons.

I had no luck at the pharmacies either, until I tried calling around first, asking if they could sell me some for making soap. The local pharmacy was much more helpful than the big chain ones, the guy ordered 500mL's for me, picked it up the next day for $10.

Hey Rachel, Got the PM's, lots of great info. Thanks for the heads up on flavors. I was initially going to try Lorann, but just bookmarked the PA website. I will let you know how I make out in my efforts

Sounds like you decided against Lorann based on some info from Rachel. Are lorann's not the best to use? Just curious.

Making soap! What a good reason for wanting it! I gotta try that, thank you much!! (I tried explaining about e-cigarettes but I think I came off as "LOL I'M GONNA TAKE IT HOME AND SMOKE IT!")

As Rachel's email probably touches on, while Lorann flavorings are probably one of the best tasting along side Perfume Apprentice. You have to be extremely careful on which ones you buy. Some are oil based and are not water soluble, which can be very harmful or worst.

There is a post in the DIY section on Lorann flavors, and which ones are good to go, and which ones you are best to stay away from

Ok so, any other thoughts on pvs out there? I own the Bauway Ego iTank, I have a piper atty for it.

I am looking for something that will make me say, holy crap, where was this thing hiding. I've heard lots of reviews on the Bloog, but I am holding off right now until I hear more because of the burning of the interior components (I had that happen with my ePuffer before I sent it back)

It sounds pretty good that the Bloog will be rectified quickly

If you want to try a non-mainstream one, check out the Boge Leo.. just got some 4ml cartos for it. It puts out fierce amounts of vapour; tastes great and I'm finding I need a lot fewer pulls on it than I do with the eGo-T. It's about the size of a fancy pen or one of those old guy stogies.. pretty decent! Evidently the atties and batteries last forever in these things.

Electrovapors is selling them, they're at www.electrovapors.com

I'm pretty sold on the bottom feeder mods. There are so many to choose from, though... I've been digging the Reo Mini. Too bad they are so hard to get your hands on.

^^ yeh that, working in a wood shop the thing still works awesome, the cap helps keep the dust out for sure (don't fit over the cartos but I can leave it in my pen jar on my desk without any funny looks like my chuck got heh), cartos on it is the least maintenance solid performing unit I've owned to date.

I hear ya. just babbling to a buddy about an idea I am putting together. bottom feeder for cartos. I just can't take apart a battery for a connection... I should though really. I make all kinds of crap for my rc stuff... I was allready scoping out my airbrush gun LOL

We need a Canadian equivalent of madvapes so you don't have to wait 2 weeks to get your stuff... you could ask to buy dead batteries in the for sale section, lots of Americans are doing that with some success. An old dead 510 battery would fit in a letter envelope. or if a supplier has a stockpile of old dead batteries lying around from warranty returns? perhaps they might sell you some for cheap?

It's crazy all the stuff that's coming out for cartos lately - dual coil, fillerless, 4ml carto, clearomizers... just nuts. Too expensive now to try and keep up with all of it..

I love that the draw hole on the cartos is so small, but the mouthpiece itself is so wide. Feels comfy to puff on and less chance of crud getting in there than with a honking big drip tip. I don't see how people are getting like 2 days worth of use out of them between fills, I can vape it to what I consider "dry" in 3 hours, but that's still a lot more runtime than a regular Boge carto. And the head rush! I'm puffing on an LR 510 carto most of the day, but with the 4ml carto I have to put it down for like half an hour. Boge knows what they're doing with this stuff, I'm surprised more people haven't seen the Leo yet.

I sent a dead carto off with a buddy to take to his shop. he'll find me a suitable connection today digging through the bins. fellow rc guy. I'll have to make 2 because he wants one too hehe. I think it will be a simple thing. technically you are supposed to fill cartos from the bottom anyway. I imagine tipping the mouthpiece part down on an angle, and squeezing juice in and turning it around to spread the good stuff around the filler. Hitec servo cases should work good (I just made a foam lined travel case with one that holds 3x 3ml bottles, 2 spare cartos in bottom, 2 working cartos with drip tips in top, a toothpick for pulling out the rubber things and about 2/3 the size of a smoke pack.

after seeing how cartos come apart in the bloog thread I can rip one apart now to see if I can get away with using a syringe tip on a bottle. the syringes I have are too wide to fit in an atty but the hole in a carto is bigger. the syringe tube can fit up inside a pen spring type setup to make the positive connection

Hey bro!

We gotta get together and jam - you been practicing? Also, how serious you are about developing some products?

Cheers,

Gary

I don't have the patience for filling from the threaded end.. i like popping the cap off since i can usually pry it off with a fingernail (or a piece of scrap wire if the cap gets pushed in). already carrying too many batteries and bottles and doodads. Careful with the syringe, if you nick the insulation on the wires or short the coil you're gonna have a bad time. I've done that before and it's not fun. Your travel case sounds neat - all that in less than a cigarette pack size. You should post some pictures!

I've been using an Ultrafire battery case to carry spare parts in, ordered way too many by accident from Dealextreme. This one's got two batteries for the GGTS/eGo-T frankenstein combo and a full Leo carto, other one's got a couple full cartos and the cool drip tip that gld1 gave me at the vaping meet.

Sure, I'd like to make stuff. Hell if I had the electronic blueprints for stuff I have access to electronic mfg. (I am a product tester and provide feedback to a company for new items and I help in the idea part of development). I don't make a lot of electronic stuff, but more make my own parts from aluminum and carbon fibre... though I modify a lot of things..

here'smy ghetto travel pack that took all of 10 mins to make
