Got my kgo in the mail today, WOOHOOO!

The manual says you need to leave it on the charger for 8 hours for the initial charge; is it really necessary to leave in on that long before I try it out?

I got the atomizer kit along with an V2 Vision clearo; should I play with the atomizer / carts first or can I just load up the clearo?

Also re the V2 vision; should I wash it out every so often or only when I switch juice? Whats the best way to wash one out?

Thanks!

I just attached the battery to the charger until the light went green. Then I loaded up the clearo and went to town. I try to clean the clearo out every few days, even if I don't switch juice. There are some good YouTube videos that show how to clean them. I wash them out in really warm or hot water shaking the clearo with my fingers capping the ends, then do a dry burn to clean off the coil, and then let them air dry over night. For really nasty juice, I pour a little vodka in and shake them as well.

No just charge it until the light is solid green. That 8 hour thing is older battery tech.

If it is a normal atomizer you can use it to drip. Look up info on direct dripping into the atty. This would allow you to test flavors out with dedicating a whole cartomizer to it.

You definitively should clean it before adding a different juice. Especially if the new juice is much different in flavor. There are many methods to cleaning. I would at least pull out the white silicone cap that is inside. You would need some kind of tool to do this. Pull it out through the mouthpiece. The metal tip sticking out of it will also come out. Then rinse with hot water, or you could use plain vodka or pga. Then make sure it is 100% dry before using. After a while the wick and the coil will gunk up and you will want to clean it to give a better taste.

You should be able to get 5-10 really good pulls off it before you start to taper off in vapor and flavor. And yes its best to avoid firing your atty dry. A dry burn is when you would intentionally fire the atty dry, in pulses, to heat the coil and burn off all the gunk that has built up. If you direct drip everyday you will want to clean and possibly dry burn it every couple days to keep from having too much build up. Keeping the coil clean is the best way to ensure a good vape. If you are just using it for testing huge flavor swings it would be worth taking a couple extra minutes to clean it every time. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
