WOW, a version 4 carto punch! Now that's funny right there.

Sorry for having a little fun at your expence, but how far are vendors and manufacturers going to take this 'revision' 'version' BS. Wonder what revision my drip tips are.
I paid $6.75 for my saddle valve about a year ago, and it still punches cartos just fine. How much do the V4 carto punches cost?

Waiting for the 50 cartos to get here still, lol. I think it cost me $40. I don't mind the fun at my expense, I still plan on getting a saddle valve just for comparison reasons. I don't think there is anything wrong with revisions as long as it's a functional and noticeable revision that improves an item and is not just a side grade so to speak.

I've just started using punched cartos because CE2's for my MAP tank are becoming really hard to find. So far I've been buying pre-punched, but I'm wondering if anyone's had problems with either saddle valves or a carto punches denting the carto to the point where it won't pass through the o-ring?

Yes that's a problem with the smoktech tanks, but not with any of the better made tanks. It's the diameter of the inside of the end caps that is the problem tho', not the o-ring.

Smokteck was obviosly thinking ahead when they came out with their tanks .... you will buy their pre-punched cartos or else!

I ordered my saddle valve (shaft coupler body is what it says, I think it is the same thing to hold the atty) yesterday, it arrived today! Super fast!

Total cost delivered: $5.28. Now I just gotta find a screw to go into it, which with the workshop he has along with his hoarding should not be a problem.
