Sorry guys and girls, I don't know why I seem to always have the luck, but my box just arrived! Curated by Jake from Craft Vapery (he does NOT sound hideous )

I'll post 'em here, and come back and edit with my first impressions instead of making 2 separate posts. This box has the potential to be the best one yet.

Ripe Vapes - Key Lime Cookie
Holy Cow! I recall one of the thread moms (I mean this in the nicest way) raving about this company, and I think I can see why! This juice is just awesome; perfect key lime with a good sweet crust as well. I'm usually most taken with the rich, dark vapes, but I do really love citrus, and this might just be a new favorite. I'm glad it's 30mL!
South Bays Finest E-liquid - Point Fermin (Peanut Butter Cup, I've heard good and bad about this one so I'm glad to try it, this is one of my favorite candies)
Well, it doesn't taste like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, at least not yet. It's not bad, the peanut butter is there, there's some chocolate, but it's just not the real deal. Maybe it'll get better with age.
Royal Crest Vapors - Lady Caramel (Caramel Butterscotch description, Primary flavor profile is creams so we'll see)
I'm not a big butterscotch fan, so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this one. It's sweet, warm, and rich. It's really pretty good, and I think my wife will really like it. Not really my thing.
Cosmic Charlie's Chalk Dust - Peanut Butter & Jesus (PB & J, very excited to try this)
Another one that just may need a little time to age. I get a really good grape jelly, but that's about it. Hard to judge it right now.
Tester - Hello Goodbye (Cream-filled frosted cupcake with orange zest; sounds amazing, smells kinds like CB4 which I was surprised that I liked)
Definitely reminds me of the CB4, but with more orange. My last tester got better with age, and I'll expect this one to do the same. A real winner, I could vape this all day.

On a related note, the smell of this box when I opened it was peanut butter awesomeness, so I'm pretty excited to try these!
edit: I hope the peanut butter ones develop over time, I smell the potential but I just don't taste it.

All in all, a good box with 2 really good creamy citrus flavors. Maybe that's just what I'm craving these days after having so many good rich, nutty vapes. I'm still hopeful for the PB&J to develop, the review I saw made it sound just like the real deal.

Um, I would be the thread mom that raves about Ripe Vapes. Key Lime Cookies is one of my favorite flavors of all time. To me it tastes exactly like these Key Lime Cookies one of our visiting vendors used to bring us at work. I'm glad you got this juice and that you're enjoying it. The other one sounds amazing too. The citrus flavored tester I mean. There's also a lemon flavored tester that Prophet raved about, don't think it's the same one, but maybe Prophet can weigh in and tell us if this was the same one he got and was crazy about.


My notice came yesterday and my shipment is due Friday. I've had a rough month with some unforeseen expenses. I went back and forth about cutting back and in the end I did cut back to two bottles. I'm so sad, if I could I would get six a month, but, it's just not financially possible. I have cut back all other juice purchases, so it's just my CV atm. In a few months I may be able to go back to my usual 3 or maybe even more. That being said, I will have a Halloween treat of my box on Friday and I can't wait to see what I get.

Home run this month. In (current) order of preference after a test drip.

Ripe Vapes VCT - Outstanding! Creamy, RY4-ish but light on the tobacco. One of my all-time favorites.

Propaganda Widowmaker - Creamy blueberries. Smelling it just made my sister-in-law hungry.

Revitalize Hopscotch - Ever wonder what a Heath bar dipped in butterscotch would taste like? Probably almost this good.

South Bay Hermosa - Strawberry and pomegranate. Decent, good blend of tart and sweet. This one will probably grow on me.

DNA Neked Peach - Peachy! Smells great, vapes a little harsh on my current dripper build, probably a lot better in a tank.

Got my box this afternoon. Nothing really wowed me with this one. I believe this time my curator was Ariel, even though Roxy's CV card was in there... Ariel signed the note. NO CV tester this month :'(. Don't know why i didn't get one.

Boosted - Boosted: strawberry custard. Not bad, but not great. Kind of a typical strawberry custard.

True North - Fathom: dark berries. So far i am not liking this one. I will clean out the dripper and put it on fresh cotton, and see... But so far has a very odd flavor, only vaguely get dark berry out of it. There is a somewhat realistic bitter to it that is characteristic of a dark berry.

Frisco - Marina: mango hi-chew. So far this one is the best. It is similar to mango hi-chew, but not quite spot on.

Fogium - Ohana: caramel custard. Pretty simple... Caramel custard. Probably one of the bettr caramel custards that i have had. Reminds me a bit of Kings Crown - claim your throne. A bit smoother though.

Not a bad box, but not a wow one. Was hoping against hope to get that caramel apple cv tester. I may change my reviews a bit after a fresh wick for each flavor. These all seem to be strong liquids that linger a bit in the wick. So i will try each on fresh wicks.

John, it's a vanilla custard type. I sometimes can't get much flavor out of custards but this one is really good! It's has a creaminess to it as well.

I only taste pepper and it's horrible. I don't get any caramel or custard or anything, I get a very strong rancid pepper flavor. I blew out and have a clean dripper that was just brought out new for this box so it hasn't had a bunch of flavors for it but this flavor just has nothing but pure pepper for me.
Lee&Quids: Apfel Spice,
It's a sweet Apple cinnamon with golden crust but the secondary is florals and spices and florals and spices are on my yucks lists. The inhale isn't too bad and it's an Apple pie sorts but the exhale is a floral perfumey vape that totally makes it unvapeable for me.
Craft Vapery: Every Little Thing,
A candy corn vape that smells amazing that I believe once steeped coulld potentially be a winner. Just doesn't have enough pop right now to give it that huge burst of flavor it needs.
Flathead Fluids: Duece,
Watermelon vape, probably the 4th watermelon vape I have received but it's the saving grace of this box. A nice sweet flavor without being overpowering. A little light but might steep a little better.

I guess I am just not understanding either what's wrong with me or where I veered off wrong. Last month I got an amazing box so I pulled off my specifics and gave my curator more free reign to pick off of what I have enjoyed aaaand not enjoyed in the past. Maybe that was my bad?? And why I got a bottle that had a flavor profile in my yucks?? Am I just being too picky and .....y? Ugh I am really frustrated after such a great box last month.

There you are! I knew it was you or baseballmom, I just couldn't recall and didn't search for it. The Hello Goodbye tester is still amazing, but I will say that the tester bottle appears to be 10mL instead of the old 15mL. Makes sense; still can't complain about free juice, especially given the quality of the tester series. I've already used probably half of that bottle, because plastic dripper bottles are easier for me to use in the car so I rolled with that on my morning commute (don't tell anyone I Drip and Drive!). But here at home I'm enjoying the Key Lime Cookie quite a bit. My first taste I think I said something like "this might be the best juice I've ever had." Ripe Vapes is definitely a company that just jumped up high on my list. Sorry to hear about your financial strains, I totally understand, I was between jobs over the summer and my CV subscription was one of the first splurges I made after getting my feet back on the ground. I hope things work out for you, and I hope CV send you a treat and not at trick!

Curiouser and curiouser. I've never gotten anything off my Yucks list as a primary or secondary flavor profile. Maybe you accidentally unchecked it? I would hate if that happened to me, and I got peach, floral, or tobacco vapes. My advice is to do what several of us have done in the past: if you aren't satisfied with something, contact them and they will generally do whatever it takes to make it right for you. I've read most of this thread, and heck I guess I'm practically a veteran CVer now that I've been here for 3 or 4 months, and I've never seen anybody say they had a bad experience with Craft Care service. They are definitely only human, and maybe it was just an oversight.
As far as your peppery caramel vape, I'm assuming it's not the nic level as you'd probably notice that, but it could be an improperly labeled bottle from the source. You may want to ask Care about that as well if it doesn't seem to improve. Does the juice smell good? If it does, I'd try to steep it, but I bet it's got too much nicotine. Either that or your build are my best 2 guesses.
Regarding your personal flavor profile, I keep mine pretty specific, and I review every juice I get so they really have a feeling for my tastes. Sometimes I'll remove something from it, and it's not that I don't trust them, but I want to have a fair amount of input on what I'll be getting. I still haven't gotten a bottle that was BAD, and really only a couple that were so-so, and most of those improved with age. Your tester will almost certainly improve with age; my last one went from decent to really good, and I expect my current one to go from excellent to incredible, if it lasts long enough. Candy Corn vape sounds good right about now!

I thought about that so I went and checked and nope florals and spices are still a yuck so not quite sure. About the nic level it's only 3 mgs and I diy at 3-5 mgs so I'm used to the nic level. I don't know .

The peppery vape is likely nicotine. I have had that happen on bottles i have purchased before. Sometimes the manufacturer gets the label wrong... And sometimes the nic settles and doesn't mix, so you wind up with a few very peppery vapes. It could also be the caramel. I had a caramel vape at a local shop that was gave me a peppery sensation.. But i don't get that from my bottle of Ohana. My advice? Ask them to send you a new one. Ohana is pretty good.

Letting the curator run a bit is a gamble. You may wind up with stuff you don't like, or you could wind up getting some really good stuff you never would have thought of or tried. Or both. But that is part of the fun! It's also a big part of the reason why i use CV. I get stuff i never would have heard of or tried.
