woohoo .. glad to see you're both still vaping .. and congrats on the swap of analogs for a cruise!

Makes cruising a lot more fun, not having to get up and find a place to smoke:)
We've started carrying business cards with us. Probably making a half dozen converts on each cruise.:)

Our e-cig have not arrived yet, BUT.... It will be great if these work since we spent our last cruise in hell (I.e. Carnival lol) because they allowed smoking in the cabin and veranda. The best lines tend to allow smoking in fewer places. Being a smoker has not been fun for a long time now!

On our last cruise, we sat in the non-smoking section of the casino vaping away (DW liked one of the slots there - and it liked her:)), in between an entire row of non-smokers, and no one said a thing - other than the now usual "how can I get one of those for my ___________ (fill in your favorite relative here)?"

Shooting for a cruise May 4 on the Carnival Fantasy. This is going to be a Hoot using the E-Cig instead of Analogs.

For me, the neatest moment was when the captain of the Carnival Pride came up to us in the casino and held out his e-cig and told us he used one also. Other than a comedian on a Holland America ship we've never seen anyone else using an e-cig on the ships

As a smoker I tired to be polite and move away from others to a open set of slots and smoke. I tried a couple of times to smoke at the Craps and 3 Card Poker tables, but my conscientious would get the better of me and I would move away from everyone.

Should be a different story now.. planning to Vape away..

Let me tell you, the dealers appreciate the e-cigs....I think it's hard for them when people sit there smoking away and blowing smoke in their direction.

The wife and I are finally going on a cruise!!
Do any of you seasoned cruisers have any advice as far as deciding on the following cruises?

We have narrowed it down to these choices...
Norwegian Epic - Miami / St Maarten / St Thomas / Nassau / Miami
Carnival Miracle - Ft Lauderdale / St Maarten / St Lucia / St Kitts
Carnival Valor - Miami / Half Moon Cay (Bahamas) / St Thomas / San Juan / Grand Turk

We are in our mid-forties and will not be bringing any children.
We will be going sometime during the September through December months.

Any thoughts, comments, concerns, or fabulous cupcake recipes would be greatly appreciated.

Hey DC2, just my 2 cents, been out of both MIA and Fll many times. I would go for the cheaper flight to either location, if you rent a car not too far from either airport and vice versa.
Now for my opiniom, I hate Miami airport!! Now Fll can get bad if a few curise ships empty out but maybe a 15-20 minute wait through security.
I've been to all the ports and the worst for me would be the Bahamas, lots of hawkers, noticed you don't list Jamaica which would be number one to avoid! Now between Norwegian and Carnival, I assume the party crowd would be on Carnival.
But either way you should have a great time.

Based solely on itineraries, I'd probably rank them Epic then Valor, then Miracle. Double the duty free allowance ($1600 vs $800) on the first two; 5 litres/person of alcohol vs 1 litre. St. Thomas and St. Maarten are both gorgeous islands with a lot of things to experience. Nassau has Atlantis, which is worth the visit.

Epic will be able to tie up at the pier in all ports. The other two have at least one tender port, and if the weather kicks up, you may not be able to get from the ship to the port.

Leaving at the end of the week for LA for our cruise on the Coral Princess from LA to FLL. Love the Coral so look forward to sailing on her again. First time with my PV on a cruise and really looking forward to it. Now if I could just decide what I'm taking with me of all my vaping stuff !!! Might need an exta suitcase for all of it ! :)

By the way DC2- I'd be picking the Valor cruise of those you listed. Any cruise with Half Moon Cay on its itinerary is going to rank at the top of my list ! Half Moon Cay is simply a slice of paradise and Heaven on earth!!

Anyone have info on Carnival Destiny and vaping? My sis is going in a few months, and is curious about the rules regarding vaping. Sorry if I missed any info in the last 51 pages! :) Thanks!

At this time Carnival has no rules on vaping. In case you didn't see one of my earlier posts, the captain on the Pride actually has an e-cig and uses it. :) That being said, I don't use mine in the dining room and food areas. I'm discreet when using it in other venues where smoking isn't allowed. I've never had a problem using it in those areas.

Just got home from a great cruise on Radiance of the Seas. I have a new favorite ship!!!
Vaped everywhere except MDR and elevators. Never a problem, just a bit of curiousity.
I still haven't met another vaper on a ship, can't wait until it becomes more common.

I finally ran into another passenger who vaped on my cruise last month. He was using an eGo and I noticed him on the Lido deck the first day. I went up to him and we chatted about e-cigs. I didn't run into him again until debarkation morning.
