Sometimes, yes. It depends on the juice. Each has its own "sweet spot" as far as power is concerned. Start with lower watts (or volts if that's what your set to), take a few draws, then increase the power. repeat until the vape either gets harsh or the flavor starts to decrease, then back the power down a notch.
The MVP you have goes to 11 watts. I have an eLeaf iStick, which can go to 20 watts with the right coils. It's relatively inexpensive, and goes well with an Aspire Mini or a Kanger Mini Pro. The Aspire Mini has adjustable airflow, while the Mini Pro doesn't, but both are nice for flavor.
If you are using the plastic Aspire clearomizers, they can affect the flavor (negatively, IMHO) and are susceptible to plastic leaching with some juices.
