Custard flavorings

have some Capella's on the way so I can make a GVC clone, haven't used any of the others other than vaped a whole lot of commercial custards

want to pick you guys' brains

of all the custard flavorings available that are safe for eliquid use, who do you feel has the richest, most egg-y vanilla custard flavoring? I love custard vapes that have the big egg body, and they're hard to find so I am guessing the delicious part is diacetyl or something similarly unsafe or it'd be more common. Those juices have kind of an almost sour twang to them I think is great. Thanks

Capella seems to be a firm fav, that sour twang you describe may be from some dulce de leche added into the mix, I have a couple recipes on the go at the moment using Capella v1 and v2 custard both have that eggy flavour

I love capella's custard, but its always outta stock where I order from... Tfa's custard is on the same flavor profile as cap's, but not as rich and bold. I don't get egg outta either one of them though. FA's custard on the other hand, I definately taste the egg, but there is that lemon thrown in there that makes me not care for it except as a standalone flavor.
I just got FA's meringue yesterday. Playing with it soon, but I have hopes for a custard-ish flavor out of it as well.

Sour twang could also apply to FA Fresh Cream, so it could be a minor note in some custard mixes

IMO you ordered the right one. Capella makes the best vanilla custard flavoring that I've tried, and I've tried MANY. Good luck with your recipe

I hate Capella's Custard (tried both versions) but I don't like any of Capella's dessert flavorings.
The only custard I like is Flavour Art's and I love it. I don't use it as a standalone though (not because it's bad or anything. I just haven't) It's the main component in several of my most successful DIY mixtures

Of all the ones I have tried Capella's v1 is my fave, followed by v2. The FA custard and catalan cream both have a lemon flavor i don't really care for. Which is sad because I really like the custard notes. They are nice flavors but don't work for me. TFA to me is just missing something. I prefer the vanilla swirl over tfa vanilla custard.

Still on the hunt for that OMG custard recipe. I can make a very good one but it is always missing something I haven't been able to pinpoint.

And safety I suppose is a relative term. V1 would not be termed safe by many. But I vape the heck out of it. We shall see if I pay for that choice in my 60's or 70's?
