Great product prospect Kristen..... Kudo's on your initiative.

Unfortunately since I use big battery mods, I believe the thickness of the case would hinder use for me.

I trust that the "foam" is removable for cleaning (as we all know there is no way what-so-ever that an individual won't experience "some" leakage as well as for general cleanliness).

Hopefully once your rolling with this line, you can approach customized "home storage" type boxes/kits for larger supply holding (I'm tired of cookie tins and the like, and the military ammo boxes are drab and unorganized) such as large bottles of PG/VG, nic bases, hardware, etc.

Best wishes in your endeavors !!

Greg

Are you going to sell these, Kristen and if so, at what price?

The 801 fits the 7" case. It's $29.95

Unfortunately, they are so varying in sizes, it's hard to know what size case to get. Plus, they'd have to be really big, which doesn't make it too portable once you add room for liquids. Although, if you want to give me the L X W X D of your device and what supplies you'd want to carry with you, I can see what I can come up with. I'm not really planning on getting into home storage - just the travel cases.

They look nice, just one thing IMO (a small suggestion):
I would avoid a "forced stretch" of the image to fit that rectangle (for instance, pin-up is a bit stretched, Van Gogh is extremely stretched :D).
So in other words to fill the rectangular space keeping the proportions of original image.

That was just a quick example. I definitely wouldn't stretch the image on the actual case - I'd keep it in proportion.

The foam has to be secured, because it would fall out everytime you opened the case. So, it won't be removable. However, it is a closed cell foam and the artwork is completely sealed, so the foam can be washed while in the case. (Just remove all of your ecigs first, lol! ;) )

I'd like to see a version that holds 1 complete/assembled PV with separate cutouts for batteries and atomizers+cartridges. I like to use just 1 battery until it is empty, switching atomizers+cartridges when I want a different flavor. Then I move on to the next battery until that one is empty, etc.

I just read a bit more and saw that there would not be cutouts, it would just hold everything together with compression foam.

Cutouts would be much more secure. With just compression foam, it's not an issue when it is closed as it would hold everything in place just fine. But when you open the case, things would roll around and easily fall out.

The end-user could just use a Dremel and make their own cutouts to their own liking, but pre-cut foam would make a more viable product IMO. Sure, it would add some labor and cost, but I think it would be a good option to attract more customers.

Yes, I have thought about that. But the cutouts would really limit the usability for most people. Everyone would have different things they want to carry and cutouts would limit them, so I've been avoiding cutouts. I have everything on order, so I will be experimenting with it when the materials get here.

The foam will probably be lower than the edge of the case, so the lip would keep things from falling out, but I've also been working on mounting an elastic strap (like in cigarette cases) to hold things in place. Or possibly just cutting slits into the foam, maybe. IDK - I have to play with it! :D

As far as cleaning concerns, the foam is a neoprene, closed cell foam, which resists moisture and oil. Additionally, the adhesive I ordered is a professional grade foam adhesive for mounting foam. It's made to withstand moisture and high heat, so it should withstand washing in the case. (Not in the dishwasher, though, because I don't believe the case finish is dishwasher safe.) So, drip in some dish soap, run under the tap to rinse and blot dry with a paper towel.

Do you keep the atty attached to the carts? I always keep an atty exclusive for each flavor, so I don't have to wash them out when I change flavors. I could notch the foam to make a space for the atty/carts.

I played with the fine art and the images had to be so small to keep the proportions (they're only 1 3/4" high and 3-4" wide) they looked really bad. So I played around with using a part of the paintings - to get the best out of each, so they are unmistakable as the artist. What do you think?

And these are some old Japenese prints I thought were cool of a samurai & geisha:

I would buy one if you put real carbon fiber on it. They sell it on Ebay in bulk adhesive sheets and it just sticks on. Just steer clear of the fake carbon fiber sheets. I would even pay EXTRA if it had carbon fiber! Good luck!!
Duff, I found that carbon fiber sheet on ebay (had to wade through a lot of vinyl copycats) but it's 4mm thick! I'm not sure how that would look? Would you want it applied just like the finishes I've shown (in a rectangle) or did you want the whole thing coverd? My husband said it wouldn't work to cover the whole thing, but I could probably do it as an accent. It would be more, though, because those sheets aren't cheap and I don't know how many more I could sell.

For anyone interested, there is a good case for mods. Someone mentioned that his Progedy fits right in the spine area:
Case Logic Diabetic Kit > Health and Mobility > Case Logic

There's also a recent thread about these cases here:

Supplies are on the way everyone! I'll make up 2 examples (going to be my and my hubby's cases) and post pics. I'm planning to do a few foam layouts and offer them as options. I realized today, when I went for a car ride, that I'd like something to carry my pass through! :D

I also have a bunch more graphics. Colors and black enamel with your initial (also one with a swarvoski crystal - simply lovely) and military and causes logos.

I'd love to hear more from the guys what you think other guys would like to see. i'm not opposed to doing some edgier stuff! (Sorry, no porn though - unless you want to provide the jpg and get a custom model! lol!)

Ok, just to make sure I'm clear..

The 5" would accommodate a couple fully assembled 510/901 etc and a couple 3ml bottles of juice?

If so, I'd definitely be interested in that and if I can get a custom graphic, that's even better because I'd love to get one with a specific logo to show to my boss. The little cheapy cases he sells with the e-cigs are kind of sad especially since most of our customers buy juice which is the hardest thing to carry around.

Would you be interested in larger quantity orders if he wanted to carry them as an accessory in the store?

The 5" case can be configured any number of ways. It could hold 1-3ml bottle and 5 ecigs/batteries, 3-3ml bottles and 4 ecigs/batteries or 5-3ml bottles and 2 ecigs/batteries.

I'm still waiting for my blanks to arrive - I want to see if the 6ml bottles will fit the 5" case. I suspect they won't, as the bottles are 3/4" and the cases are 5/8" thick. That's why I think the 3ml bottles will fit, as they are only 1/2" thick.

I would definitely be interested in working with suppliers - either making them custom logo cases or reselling my designer cases.
