Hello fellow Canadians, wondering if anyone has had this issue already, but.. I have just had my Temon hybrid ecig (All hardware, no juice) denied by customs? Wondering where I can contact customs regarding this issue, as I am fully aware they are far from able to deny hardware in itself. If someone would be so kind as to point me in the proper direction to place my complaint/try to have this reversed. Frustrating, going to enjoy making their lives difficult for this though. Also, if anyone has any links to current customs import laws, etc. Much appreciated as I will need to do some research on this.

Weird...I bring all kinds of vaping hardware over the border all the time but not any juices, and not had any issues at all. Customs is more looking for juices with nicotein than hardware and getting juice seized or returned is common. I assume you had a ill informed customs officer who just thought he'd be vendictive or once they opened the package and saw the word cigarette on the box its back to misinformed. I talked to a customs officer here in BC and the memo they got use the words "at the officers discretion" so you got a butthole customs official who was having a bad day and thought they share that bad day with you. But this was a border guard I was talking to not a postal customs offical.
The real crappy part now is that you have now been marked and/or flagged, so from now on every package you try to get over the border will have customs hassles attatched to it.
BTW...electronic cigarettes and its juices aren't considered tobacco products "yet" but its the nicotein in the juice that is the contraban. Just make sure that where your ordering from knows to remove all package wording to do with cigarette and label the customs forms not to attract suspicion.

Yeah, customs is getting a very disgruntled phone call Monday, hell I can buy a "small e CIG" at a corner store..... If there was nicotine I could possibly see an issue, but this is ridiculous. Will be spending today looking at the legal side of this, so I know if I have grounds if it is still refused after appealing it. Unless of course UPS just returns it on me lol

Talked to ups again today now they're saying its just being assessed for import duties/taxes and potential brokerage charges? Has ups randomly started alerting customers of brokerage charges? Which rep is correct? I've now reached a new level of confusion... Will update what happens on Monday, either way its either new for UPS or new for customs to seize hardware. Hoping its just duties which I expected to have to pay anyway lol

Called UPS again confirmed they stated to me its an e cigarette and prohibited to import into Canada rep even tried arguing with me when I told her there is only an advisory warning out and they have no basis to do such a thing customs tomorrow after all. Will update after I speak with them tomorrow
