Customs problems.

Anyone here had a customs problem with importing e-juice or hardware please post here. Was the juice the problem or the hardware?
How was it labeled?

The place I get my things from sent me a letter to tell me they are not sending e-juice to the USA just for that reason and its being stopped in China and the US .

So my order of an Innokin tube from Fasttech HK must not have the wording "Battery" on the slip. Perhaps I should add in the instructions to state "Electronic Housing" or what would you suggest?

Argh will have to call customs beforehand and discuss it with them and get the tarriff information in writing. Don't want to order a bunch of stuff and then they bend me over twice with charges

was just wondering if ordering from say fasttech that does free shipping, would ordering each item by itself work out better? apart from getting nailed on bank charges that is

Argh so I called SARS customs section and they were as useful as herpes. Anyone know what tarriff heading eciggarettes and said parts would fall under? I noticed from prior importing that if you go with the code that they dont just charge you random rates

Think it should fall under 9613.90 Or am I smoking socks?

almost all of the times i ordered from FT, they labelled my stuff as 'replacement parts'.

some of them i had to pay duties/ vat on and some not- the person at the post office told me they mainly look at the value of the product as opposed to the code.

ive imported batteries, liquids and all other things without any problems (fingers crossed)

There's hardly ever any problems with hardware, mainly e-liquids, however, as stated before, depends on the mood of the customs official handling your shipment....*sigh*
