Ok, I hear everyone talk about cut off times. On a manual battery, how do you calculate this? Press the button and drag and drag until it stops while timing it? Maybe a dumb question but remember, I'm new! LOL!

I think cutoff time refers only to auto batts and they automatically cutoff after 20 seconds

That would make sense...but I don't really use the manuals that much and never depress the button for any real length of time

The cut off time is a safety feature of the batteries (so if the battery goes off in your purse you won't set it on fire...LOL) Some of my older batts (both auto and manual) have a 10-13 sec cut off. Some of my newer ones have a 20 sec cut off.

I think the bulk of batteries that are in use are either older VK models @ 10-13 second, current VK Models @ 17 seconds, & the Stealth and Diamond Series at 20 seconds.

The cut off time on the non kd/stealth autos are 13.3 second avg in my testing, manuals 14.2. On bargin bin manuals anywhere between 7-13 seconds. The king diamond and stealths are 20.1 avg. Hope this helps Ms. Chimchim.
