Cutoff question

Ok, finally got my DSE 801 in the mail the other day. Problem....the darn thing seems to have a cutoff switch. If I take too long a drag or too many drags really quick, the dumb thing flashes an orange light and no vapor. Is this normal? Any way around it?

5-8 second cutoff is normal. It varies a little from bat to bat. I haven't had the problem with too many quick drags except old batt (like two months) switch sticking. I take several shorter than cutoff drags sometimes to get more out of it. I just stop long enough to see the LED dim. fill mouth, inhale a little, dims, fill mouth, inhale a little, dims, fill mouth big inhale and enjoy.
