Do people really smoke 48mg....I have some and thought about trying that much MG but I thought i would keel over and die...I was so paranoid about the nic poisoning. So tell me can you vape 48mg??? I am curious I am on week #3 of no analogs...but I would like to try 48 just to see how it feels... and then move slowly down in the nic dept. but 24 and 26 and even 36 isn't doing it much for me...I am nursing like a baby.

I spent a week or 2 alternating between a cart of 48 and a cart of 60 mg/ml. I would try a cart of 30 or 36 about once a day, partially to use it up (it was ECOpure, from Intellicig/Innovapor, and it's an excellent brand) and partially to see if I was making any progress in lowering my personal nic requirement.

Please understand, this was in no way an active effort on my part to force myself to get by on less nicotine, so much as giving my body a chance to flush out 44 years accumulation of the other analog junk (who-knows-what).

Try dripping a couple drops of the 48 mg/ml stuff. That's probably enough for 6 or 8 good puffs. Go slow until your body either says "whoa" or "step on the gas" ( the hi-test gas).

6-7 puffs of 48 would be similar to 12-14 puffs of 24... except I suspect that with the higher concentration there is more free base available. Pay attention to what's happening and you will avoid getting sick. A puff of 48 really kicks the tobaccos .... 24 and 36 wasn't doing it for me either, but after a few weeks with 48, I started to appreciate 36. :) In my case, vapeing 48 really wasn't much fun.

The American Heart Association web site says:

"How long does nicotine stay in the body?
From 85–90 percent of nicotine in the blood is metabolized by the liver and excreted from the kidney rapidly. The estimated half-life for nicotine in the blood is two hours. However, smoking represents a multiple dosing situation with considerable accumulation during smoking. Therefore, it can be expected that blood nicotine would persist at significant levels for six to eight hours after smoking stopped."

I'm guessing the best time to lower the nicotine level would be after you've slept; maybe you can trick your body into thinking the intake level is normal, nothing to worry about ;)

I had no idea how strong to start out when I ordered my first e-cig, so I got 4mg cartomizers. It's enough to get my nicotine buzz, and I have no desire to use an analog. I smoked Virginia Slims Superslims menthol. I was a smoker for about 27 years.

It was my belief that your brain is use to a certain amount of nic intake on a daily basis and when you don't have that level of nic in your system, that is when the cravings start. So even though your system is flushed, your brain is wanting you to replenish it to the level it was at the time you went to bed. By using a lower concentration of nic in the morning would probably result in one having to vape more. In the end it is all a matter of will power.
