I dont intend on quitting nic. I have COPD. I smoked for 30 years and was never able to quit without a PV.
My nic in liquid varies. Mainly 18 mg/ml or 12 mg/ml or 10 mg/ml liquid. 18 mg/ml got me off stinkys 323 days ago.
I am not messing with a good thing. I will enjoy my nicotine and hopefully never crave another stinky again.
I like the throat hit of nicotine so its all good!

So if your one whose dropping down the nicotine levels good for you: wish you luck :)

I’m personally at 18mg and am not dropping down for now: I’m just not ready for that, I enjoy nicotine as well.

But I do read a lot of people who say there cutting down, and it would be nice to know I’m not the only one who is choosing to stay on the nicotine wagon.

I was on 18mg forever until I started dripping, then I went to 12 and now I'm using 6mg. If I was still using a protank I would still be using 18mg, but with drippers it's just way too much nicotine. I would take 2 or 3 pulls and be over nicced.

I started on 24mg for about a month.
then
I got some 24mg unflavored to try beginner's DIY and 12.5% flavor brought it down to 20.5mg.
That went well so when that started running out and I got seperate PG VG & nic I tried 18mg.
That was fine and tastier to me so I vaped that for a year.

I'm a flavor junkie so when I tried some lower nic juice that I made for someone recently I found that I actually enjoy lower nic flavor more than I miss the throat hit. To a degree. I've settled on 12mg 40/60 or 50/50 now for the flavor.
I've found that the lower the nic level the better I enjoy the taste.
I didn't really miss the nic (as in withdrawal) because if I'm awake, I'm vaping. I probably hit it more often at first but I vape for flavor (and habit) more than the nic now. 12 reveals flavor that 18 was overwhelming but still provides enough TH for me.

OTOH
I made 36mg with high flavor % regularly for someone last year.
I tried it and couldn't even taste the difference between different flavors.
It all tasted like housefire.
He loved it and detected it when I secretly dropped one of his flavors from 14.5% to 14% as an experiment.
He asked if I could bump that flavor up a bit next time.
I couldn't tell the difference between flavors (housefire) but he detected .5% flavor difference.
People have different tastebuds alright.

Realize that if you were using 3 mL a day in your protank, and now use 10 mL a day dripping, you actually increased your nicotine intake....:)

I started at 24mg 4 years ago. I'm now at 11mg and have been down to 8mg with no loss in effectiveness. I'd buy 8mg all the time, but it's hard to find my favorite juice at that level. I've bought equal amounts of 16mg and 0mg in the same brand and flavors and mixed them with good results.

Today I was at a beach water park with some family members and left my mod in a locker all afternoon, so I had no access to nicotine for that time. It was a non-event. I thought about vaping several times, but had no withdrawal symptoms at all. Most of what I missed was the hand to mouth habit when I sat down in the shade for a rest. Had I gone through the cold turkey thing I could have walked back up to the locker and got the ecig. They allow smoking in designated areas and none of the employees said anything or gave me dirty looks as I vaped around the park entrance at the end of the day while waiting for my wife to finish dressing. :)

I am not dropping my nicotine levels. I started with 18 mg, 2.5 years ago, and I have remained with 18 mg. I just consume less liquid now than I did then.

Usually, dropping the nic level comes when somebody uses a more elaborate device. Like those RBA coils that you make yourself. They produce a lot more vapor, so people drop their nic level.

I use store-bought atomizers, such as Vivi Nova and Evod, so the issue has not arisen for me.

Started with 24mg over two years ago and still vape 24mg today. I like it for the the throat hit. I do have some 18-20 in a few juices and they are working fine. Maybe some day I may try to drop down but for now all is good in vape land.

I'm the same as well..... But I'm only about 9 months into it. I enjoy the throat hit and it doesn't bother me so I'll stay where I'm at for now. :toast:

I've had my first 0mg day today. Not for the whole day, but much of it. I have been vaping 6mg, and I must say, I didn't really miss the nicotine much at all today.

I've said a couple of times here before that I see nothing wrong with nicotine. I see it as the same as a good cup of coffee. But I want to be at the point where I can take it or leave it. If today was anything to go by, I think I'll do ok.

So in answer to the OP, I do want to drop to 0mg, but not exclusively.
