I never bought 1 pack of cigs at CVS when I smoked, so no diff to me. They can not sell cigs if they want. They do still sell booze though. But I never bought any of that from them either.
So CVS caremark is not restricted to CVS?Yea, my company insurance went CVS CareMark...........
Some careful reading and a few calls and Walgreen takes my card!!!
CVS in this area is absolutely abysmal.![]()
Health issues is the minor part of the problems that alcohol causes. Or to be more exact the excessive consumption of alcohol.@Robert Cromwell I haven't been in a CVS in 3 years, but selling alcohol and not tobacco is the epitome of stupid. Lol because alcohol has never caused any health issues.

Yep lost a friend to liver damage from drinking and tylenol destroying his liver. A very bad combination.Continued consumption over a long period of time does cause significant liver damage. One substance is no less dangerous than another.

The laws are crazy, but many of them are implemented by the county and not by TABC. The membership thing is definitely county by county and it's not about tracking drinking habits. It's there because the county is dry and the only way to sell alcohol is in a private club. Here in Fort Worth, one can drink in a bar without any sort of membership.Raises hand... They used to have the best price on my pall malls.
That's Texas. The TABC is one of the most backwards agencies in the country. You can drink, but if you drink in a restaurant or bar you have to have a "membership" so big brother can track your drinking habits. You can buy beer & wine anywhere, but can only buy liquor in a "liquor store". You can't buy any alcohol in a bar or restaurant before noon any day of the week. You can order liquor in a bar on Sunday, but the "liquor stores" can't operate that day, just the beer stores, so you have to stock up on Saturday for football games. Now THAT deserves a facepalm.
I was just talking about their claim with my friend when shopping for beer and realized that if the stop and shop stopped selling ipa's, my drinking would definitely decrease. Just cause they are across the street. So if cvs has enough stores where they were across the street from everybody, and everybody was as extremely lazy as I was.... Its possible their stupid decision could decrease smoking?
So CVS caremark is not restricted to CVS?
