Most vapers are aware of the Diacetyl issue. Currently, venders are being asked whether the substance is in our liquids that we purchase. Most say no. We also ask to see results from testing of those liquids that may contain this product.
It is an issue that concerns us and we are pretty good about finding things out.

I would rather see vapers and vendors being responsible and the government staying out of our lives. They already control too much of it as it stands now, IMO.
I'm not a card-carrying member of the tinfoil hat society, but a quick search on "FDA screwup" or "FDA coverup" leads to an interesting array of articles.

I actually thought the same thing. In a world where elected officials actually looked out for the well-being of citizens rather than the good ole industries, this is the type of stuff that could go away and we could actually benefit from regulation because only safe products would be available. However, this is the same country trying to help a dying tobacco industry by using "regulation" as a means to stop innovation and hurting people. Hell, we'll allow fast food, cola, and cigarettes, but we better crack down on them vapsters lol. Not to rant or anything...
