Yes, 2 1/2 weeks seems a long time when your waiting waiting and can't do much to occupy yourself. It will be a total of 4+ weeks setback/addon recovery time, or how ever you want to term it. Basically, as best as I recall, her heal time starts again at surgery....6 to 8 weeks no weight bearing. But...at least it is a date. We'll take it! :)

Well...it's almost that time. Surgery is Thursday morning. She will be at my oldest daughter's tomorrow evening, then here after her surgery to recoup. Depending on what they find when they get in there, it is suppose to be a day surgery, she's suppose to be released by late Thursday evening.

I went shopping today for all her favorite comfort foods, magazines, etc.

Wish her luck and keep her in your prayers please, and her doc.

I'll let everyone know something as soon as I can.

Surgery went great! They had a cancellation, so were able to get DD into surgery earlier than scheduled this morning. She's napping comfortably at my house now.

If all goes really well post op, by next weekend she may be able to get a boot and begin PT ahead of original thinking. Keeping our fingers crossed for her! :D

She goes for post op visit next Friday. Other than that, it's keep it elevated with ice packs for a week, and no weight.
