vaping is going good. Still not much vapor. If I go slow and long to hard or to long it about knocks me down! And that's only at 18mg.

Came out of the Doctors with 5 children after 2 hours! UGH! THought about just smoking cause the craving was strong but after trying the e cig first, it did go away! I'm amazed! The hardest one to give up will be in the morning with my coffee (my most important cig. of the day) It just doesn't seem like it will be as good with an e cig?? I'm thinking it's mostly mental though. Like I'm thinking it's time to go outside and I just vaped a little while ago and I don't have a craving it just seems time.

Still not sure if I will know when the cartomizer is empty? Haven't sensed any difference yet.

Let my sister try it today she was amazed too. Pretty soon no one will be smoking!

I started at 16 and had the same problem as far as getting knocked down and I was a 3 pack a day smoker. I have found about 8mg is good for me. I still hit 11mg on the weekends, but for day to day at work 8 is as far as I want to go. Usually when the flavor starts getting weak or you get a burnt taste it's time to refill. Good job though. I haven't had a an analog since aug 22nd. No way I'm ever smoking again.

You should go slow and long. If it knocks you down then you need to go down a little like 12mg, just buy some VG from CVS or Michaels.

Just up your juice strength a bit for the morning vape. And you're right that for some people it's a mental thing but others did become to dependent on MAOI during so many years of smoking.

Thanks everyone! It's good to know I can use less nic. and I thought I hadn't ordered strong enouph! I plan on eventually going as low as I can on the nic.

Just add the vg to the cartomizer??

You can add straight VG directly to your bottle of e-juice, shake it up really good and use it, but there are a few things to consider:

Let's say (just for example) that you have a bottle of Marlboro flavor juice that is 24mg in nicotine strength. If you add any VG or PG or water or anything else to that bottle then it is going to weaken the flavor of the Marlboro in the bottle and reduce the nicotine level.

(Again for example): If the bottle is half full with the original mix (above) and you fill the remaining half with VG it is going to cut the flavor about in half and reduce the nicotine level to about 12mg strength. Also, VG is a very thick liquid which in turn will thicken your original mix a little. By thickening the liquid now it is going to "wick" differently, probably a little slower. That means that you are going to have to wait a good minute or more between vapes to allow time enough for the juice to wick to the atomizer.

One good advantage of VG however is that it will provide a much better vapor cloud.

One other thing: I currently use a Joye510 but started out with a KR808D-1 which sounds like what you are now using, a two-piece unit where the cartridge and the atomizer are both in one piece. Well if you look carefully at the threaded end of your cartomizer you will notice either 2 or 4 tiny holes. Now look at the battery connection where you thread the cartomizer into and you'll see either 2 or 4 small slots. What you might want to try is screwing the cartomizer into your battery just snug, then while looking closely at the slots in the battery unscrew the cartomizer slightly just try to line up a hole from the cartomizer up with a slot in the battery (I hope I'm explaining this well enough). What this may do (it did for me) is provide you a more open path for airflow while vaping, therefore an easier and more productive vape.

My KR8 had an automatic battery so this is how I learned to vape it: I would take about a 2-second light vape which turns the battery on which starts to heat up the atomizer, then stop for 1 second to allow the battery to turn off, then vape very gently for about 4-5 seconds which restarts the battery for vaping. What this did was heat up my atty for a second or two and then allowed me to take a nice long vape - again very lightly. If you vape too hard it will not give you a very good vape. You want to vape only strong enough to just to turn the battery on and no harder.

All you can do is try it and see if this method works for you.

Only trying to help.

Exactly 3 weeks for me. I don't find it "knocks me down." Quite the opposite. I was in a doctor's office last Friday and I don't think I let the woman get a word in edgewise. And I get acupuncture once a week. It still puts me to sleep initially but, for the past two weeks, once I woke up I was waving my arms around, inspecting the needles in my hands and basically doing everything except dancing on the table.

I'm trying to find the level that will keep me awake without making me manic. And I want to use a lower level in the evenings to help my sleep.
