Recently visited the doctor and he told me I had some of the biggest lungs he'd ever seen. I attempted to thank him for the "compliment" and he set me straight pretty quickly. My lungs are huge because the alveoli have distended as a result of losing elasticity. In short he said I'm in the very early stages of emphysema and if I didnt want to be carrying around an oxygen tank at 50 I needed to quit smoking.

This is my second attempt, my first lasted for 6 months and I very stupidly started smoking again because I left my Provari in a friends car. I'm hoping this time that I can quit for good and finally make it stick especially in light of this new information. The thought of an oxygen tank scares the hell out of me.

Ive got a backup now for everything.Even my backups have backups and Im pretty proud of making this far without even a craving for a "smoke"

Good luck my friend, it can be done. Been off evil tobacco for 2 years after 48 years of 1 kind of smoke or another, and with vaping I have never felt better. Can't tell you how many times I tried to quit, cut down, etc., and utterly failed. Just the other day my wife commented on my color and energy, and remarked she is in awe of my stamina. When I smoked, walking the dog more than 2 or 3 blocks would tire me, now long hikes in the woods are a matter of course. This is from a guy who is overweight. No morning cough, no stained teeth, no labored breathing, no constantly catching colds and other upper respiratory ailments, I could go on and on, but you already know given your prior experience with vaping. Point is keep trying, keep trying and I know you'll succeed. 5 days strong and still going, good for you!

COngrats! It's a great feeling! I been off of cigarettes for 3 months now.

At the suggestion of someone here I have just ordered 2 back ups and am slowly stocking up on juice. I ran out of juice in my first month and spent a fortune on the disposable Blu that they sold at Walgreens until my juice came in. I was soooooo close to buying a pack of smokes *gasp*.

You CAN and WILL do this!

Hey Zapped... No hoping about it. You have got to do this. You CAN do this. My Grandfather died of chronic Emphysema. Believe me. You don't want any part of that!!! Get a tool belt, fill it up with cartos, clearos and juice. Chain that Provari around your neck. Buy two more and put one in each pocket.......... ;-)~ Good luck Zapped!! You are on your way... 5 days is a great start. Keep it going...
