It's now been 87 days without cigarettes. Hooked on blueberry 2.4% currently, but will probably get tired of it at some point. Still using the same set-up, but as the batteries get low, I'll likely look at something new. vaping is SOOO much easier than smoking, and I get absolutely the same satisfaction. It was great going on a ski holiday last month and being able to vape in a non-smoking room (although the hotel rules stated "no use of electronic cigarettes according to state laws" I ignored it). I really hope that no major laws are introduced that make vaping more difficult or expensive -- right now I feel we have a really good situation. Funny thing, I would never vape in a supermarket since it has been against the law since I was a child, but the other day I saw a guy absentmindedly pull his vaper out and blow a big cloud in the freezer section of my local supermarket. I got a kick out of that, because I'm sure that vaping has become so natural for me that I'll do something similar soon enough.

Hi HS. I think of us as part of the first class of 2016 graduates to vape from cigs. One quarter of the year already gone. Seems like my first six weeks were about learning vaping essentials, second six updating and tweaking gear. Now have moved into mixing my juices. Have found DIY not so easy as most imagine when they get started. Not flown anywhere, but on road trips I carry a small tackle box with my ‘essentials’. The stuff adds up! Anyway, it’s all still new and fun. Meanwhile the cig memories keep fading away…

I’m another guilty of grabbing a puff where it’s not really allowed, usually in a store. My ego rig rests in my shirt pocket inside a coat this time of year so is very easy to discreetly slip hand in, take a puff or two and return. I don’t break stride, downward exhale is barely visible, and no one is the wiser. Left hand never even leaves the shopping cart if pushing one at the time. One habit that isn’t yet gone is wanting to open car window a bit when vaping and driving alone. If someone is in car or I am passenger, then I do crack window out of courtesy unless told otherwise.

As for nicotine, have been working lower from 18-24mg on early orders. Now that I am self-mixing, my base is 15mg with finished recipe target in 10-12mg range. Normally I vape 2-3 ml per day (MTL) which for me is a comfort zone. Have tried to go lower on nic but found myself chain vaping or direct hitting at times to achieve satisfaction. Given the progress made thus far in 2016, not real concerned about pushing that aspect yet.

Hey Tckenno,
Yeah, we're the new class, and I feel like I'm in good company! I haven't yet tried going down in nicotine level, and right now its not even a goal. Right now I'm pretty much vaping constantly, unless its just not possible. I got a box mod last weekend doing 9,0 watts and still at 18 nicotine level. Maybe too much, but I wasn't getting enough of a hit with the standard batteries. As a former 4ppd Marlboro smoker, I guess I'll be up in the high numbers for awhile, which is fine with me. Anyway, thanks for writing!
