I just used it straight. I figured as long as it works, it works. When it crokes, I'll use another one. I'm lazy. I gave up on cleaning, dry burning, boiling, alcoholing, taking apart and putting together when we still fiddled with 510 cart straw mods. :) I am just new to Fluxes, still trying to adjust and figure out how to get them to work right for me, and don't know when it's dead (or is dead enough for me to toss it rather than clean it... lol)

It really isn't a big deal to clean Fluxos. Takes less than 5 minutes. All I do is remove the tube, rinse it in warm/hot water, put it in a paper towel and squeeze to get rid of the excess water, and dry burn. I've been using some of the same CE2s for a year now.

OK - but can I clean it without removing the tube? Just sorta rinse in in hot water (maybe vodka), let it dry, dry burn, etc? I'm paranoid about tube removal. I know it's not supposed to be a big deal, but, see, I'm terribly unlucky with all things vape... If I take it apart, it will die somehow. I just know it.

Actually, with the new tubes, removing and replacing is a breeze...

They pop right off and on easily, and don't leak at all. Out of the 15 or so that I've used so far, not one has even hinted at leaking one bit... When I get a new Fluxo, I pop the tube off, put a drop or two of juice on the coil (you can skip that part, I'm just paranoid about scorching wicks) and 'dry burn' until the coils glow. When they are new, the coils don't glow. It seems there is a little coating of (?) on them that needs to get cooked off before they start rockin.

I suggest NOT dry burning with the tube on... You can melt it! Even going in short bursts, that's just too much heat with no moisture or airflow to temper it...

the clear cartos are very easy to clean, literally pull tube off , rinse, dry burn, I can do the whole process in about a minute. of course if you are using the inner rubber cup, it takes another 10 minutes to try to get that back in, the whole process will become smoother once we get those mouthpieces we were promised.

BTW, the one that lasted over a month (honestly, it was probably closer to two months), was used with heavy, gunky juice. And tasted just fine, no problem, through all that time. Just saying... :)

In that case, don't toss it. Mount it on a plaque and hang it on the wall in your smoking lounge!

(You do have a smoking lounge, don't you?)

Yep, I'm a she. As to lounging... My whole house is a vaping lounge - which is not saying much, since I live in a 21x21 one-room cabin. And said cabin doesn't smell like an ashtray anymore, but rather sports an amazing, if occasionally confusing, aroma of a variety of vapes. Which makes my dog very happy, I think. She hated my smoking - would go in the opposite side of the room every time I lit up. :) :vapor:
