Adjustable coil is born.

Just want to get this out of the way already. 22g single adjustable ohm coil with a 20g negative extension. (4 different resistance settings to choose from) with a 26650 atty over 8 settings plus can be achieved!

Seeing the first adjustable airflow cap had me thinking why not make an adjustable ohm coil build? The vape industry is flooded with new mods, attys, wires and new technology on the daily. So I wanted to try something and keep up with the rapidly expanding industry. This is in its very baby early stages. It's not perfect so please to those who wants to read on just bear with me haha. This was my third attempt of this adjustable build. I originally wanted a sliding motion to accurately dial in the desired ohm of the user but it wasn't working out too well. This will allow the user to dial in and even swap devices such as a single tube mod, to a VV. Or even just adjust the resistance to their liking and or maybe even save battery. Can you imagine having an adjustable build you can regulate at any given time?

Unfortunately we are still far from this technology and there's only so much you can do with twisting wires. This was currently the best I could do. It has 4 different settings of resistance you could choose from with the potential of more for a bigger size atty. The trick is to use a much bigger negative extension to avoid hot spotting the extension leg. Use an ohm meter and test each slot. Now freely pick any slots to your liking. Anyway thanks for checking it out and I will venture into this more in the future. One day I will design a game changing atomizer!!! So much ideas to design one since I've started building. Thanks again vapefam!

Decided to twist 28G and 30G together for my rendition of Deedupdex's "tween post build"

Coil wrapped over two 3mm pins (0.118"), came out to 0.33 ohms:

Vapes great! Lots of vapor production and fantastic flavor :)
The wicks hold about 20 drops so now I can take quite a few pulls before the wicks dry out.

Thanks again Deed's for the inspiration, this is one of my favorite builds!

Wow bro, I'm floored!! What a innovative idea and implementation!

You are truly the master of unique coil building :)

Yo Drifter my brotha has always been supporting me since day one. I hope to meet you one day

keep up the innovations, deedupdex! Your a pioneer in the coil building world!

I am just a regular builder with a passion to build brotha! I think in this new age of vaping we are all pioneers!! Thank you so much for Checking it out and dropping by some kind words it meas so much.

Hey man looking through your posts on here and realized your in SOCAL too. I actually bought some of my first vape gear and eliquid for The Switch, its like 5 mins from my house. Very cool work im amazed at every picture you upload. i dont think i have the patience to build something like that.

I actually live in norcal but I do make it out there once in a while. Hope to meet you at ECC!!

Wickless quad setup on the Vulcan by @vapourlifestyle. Quad 24g side by side (some call parallel) with 1/8 I.D I have ventured into wickless vaping before with sucess but the better opportunity came when I saw this deeeeeeeep well. Ive seen and done all the other twisted wickless builds before and they are also great. Most of you know I barely twist for max surface area. This was just cool and fun to build because of all the room under. But like all wickless builds it's still in its early stages. I do think the future is wickless. Matter of time till someone uses heat transfer technology on an rda (hopefully me lol). Also like all wickless builds the number 1 con is the very hot liquid it creates and at constant use the hot mod and rda it leaves you. Anyway it was a cool project. Thanks for looking guys. Part of building and buildlyfe to me is venturing out to any possibilities as much as possible and share with the Industry.

Quick build on the@aethertech Orchid. Nothing crazy at all. Simplicity on these tanks are best. Yes you are looking at a low .3ohm build on this badboy. I bored out the stock outer holes to a 7/64 and the two inner holes to 3/32 (I can go one more bigger on both). The channels on these keep up using an iTEO wick. This is def the kayfun/fogger V4 killer I have been waiting for. You chasers out there this is probably what you are searching for. No need to drip cause this thing blows clouds! What do you do to get your coil legs bent perfectly like that?

I can wrap a great coil, but my legs always get fubar and they end up with a hot leg or I lose a wrap on the coil.

Any special tools outside of tweezers and pliers used?

Just a quick technique. If you have instagram send me a DM I will do a quick vid on what I do brotha

I'm gonna check out the orchid, I've been waiting for a good rta that can handle low ohms and has large air flow. I've tried the k fun and kraken, the kfun works exactly line its supposed to but it is like sucking on a straw, I hate it. The kraken can handle lower ohms, not too low, but I can't get it to wick right, maybe because its lower ohm. having to constantly prime it isn't worth it, not when I have rdas that work wayyy better. Hopefully the orchid is what Ive been waiting for, now I just need to sell a kidney so I can afford all the things i have convinced myself that I need.
