Could be, I suppose... but I'd have thought more would go for the 30% and treat the 10% extra as icing rather than cake...

Yeah but wasn't the 30% only on the select flavors? I'm not sure how popular those particular flavors are.
Anyway... YAY House work! Spent my whole birthday doing housework. Then I even forgot to get drunk to boot.
Then this morning I went to get my cat a replacement for her cat that got put down. Figured I'd rescue one from my vet.
I spoke to them about it yesterday, they've got 1 cream colored 8 week old short hair male. Called them again this AM to let them know I was coming to see it and to discuss a $12 charge for a cardboard carrier vs bringing my own carrier (which I opted for LOL).
I'm in the waiting area when the vet comes through and the receptionist told the vet I was there for the kitten. Only then do I find out the vet isn't going to release the kitten because it's been sick and she just gave it some meds.
Couldn't get much background on it, just that someone found 2 of them and brought them in. They don't think they were feral. They think it's just some sort of "normal parasite or worm kittens get" and assure me everything will be fine.
They slapped a "hold for" tag on his cage with my contact info on it and will call when he's ready.
Of course now I'm a little concerned. It's kind of like going to test drive a used car and finding out when you get there that the battery is dead. Except in this case I never even got to see it.
Last thing I need is another pukey cat LOL. In the past I've had one that had litter box issues (not fun), and one that would puke regularly from around once to three or four times a week. Was more hoping my next acquisition would be issue free.
Which brings me to my question... Are there lemon laws for kittens?
Oh and if I do take him, he's going to need a name *wink-wink*.

You could probably arrange to "foster" it for a week on the basis of needing to be sure it and your current cat will be able to tolerate each other. (I did that with Poeia and Annabella. I'd brought Poeia to the store to meet her and, while I was pretty sure Poeia wouldn't want another bird, arranged that I could return her if there were potential bloodshed issues.)Yeah but wasn't the 30% only on the select flavors?
