I'll start with Peppermint Taffy

Hamlet I'll watch anytime.
Macbeth -- I'm not sure I'd sit through that again with a gun to my head. Bar none, my least favorite Shakespeare classic. And I've given it a fair shot. I've seen 3 or 4 productions. Hated them all.

By far the worst was with the (usually) great Nicol Williamson directed himself in a production at Circle in the Square. At one point he piled a bunch of large, wooden chairs on top of each other and climbed to the top to deliver a soliloquy. That was when people began walking out in the middle of the act (and it was theater in the round -- you couldn't miss it.) At least my friend and I were kind enough to wait until the next intermission to leave.

It was like watching:


On the other hand, I know at least one person who loves Macbeth and hates Hamlet.
