I was curious before about that square wire, what they call "ribbon" wire. IIRC, what's different about it is that (having a flat side) it puts more heating surface in contact with the wicking material. You'd have to look it up somewhere to find the resistance per foot, but I'd assume they send you something in the "useable range".
I believe the discussion was that it would be good for the genesis type attys that use the steel mesh and ceramic wicks. More so than the atty's that use the string / cloth / cotton type wicks. Supposedly really good with the ceramic wicks, I've got some of those stashed away. Though who knows what the innovators have moved onto since.
I'd like to try some if you'd hang onto a piece for me until next order / winnings.
