That's what I like about my hours. By the time I get in, everyone's chomping at the bit to go home. They barely have time to notice little ole me so I don't really get a lot of impositions or anything. But when they do see me, they know it's getting close, so I get the benefit of being the harbinger of good. Though I miss out on a lot of internal benefits, like the many catered lunches, raffles, & whatnot, I also miss out on 99.99% of the meetings.
Personally, I think PBJ or hot dog
at home beats the majority of just about any catered lunch or pot luck
at work.
However, when my boss gets back from surgery recovery, he usually snags and saves me some goodies from the day's events, even occasionally raiding the leftovers from the executive meetings for me. Times like that I get the best of both worlds. Sleep till 11, get to work at 4, no meetings, but all of the perks.
