I totally agree that letting customers know what your safety standards are is a good thing. I just think there are plenty of other options of achieving this without paying 6k per year.

At the end of the day, I'm with Deej all the way, whether he joins or not.

Me too. I've used his juices exclusively for about a year and a half (or however long he's been up and running). Great flavors, clear clean juices, and the best customer service ever :)

LOL I've gotten some runny labels in the past, though not from here.

You mean I gotta take the Kiddie caps now (per new standards)? I've got no probs opening either, but any other types of issues I've had were always with the "childproof" ones.

I've had them leak, spin forever and never quite stop when putting on (they'd "snug up" but then go passed and be loose again), and the reverse when taking off. Just spin and spin but the internal cap part not move.

The ones that don't tighten I need to give special treatment to ensure they stay upright at all times. The ones that won't open I have to pry off then use a different cap on it.

It all comes down to "too much to go wrong" with the childproofs. Guess I'll have to start a stash of the nice caps I been getting from Deej. :D
I think we should be able to request regular caps (like with pharmaceuticals).
I buy plastic bottles because I immediately put my e-liquid into the empty glass bottles I saved from previous purchases of DeejStuff!
The caps on the dropper-bottles are child-proof and work better than the child-proof caps on the plastic bottles (IMO).

I haven't been on the computer much, I have to borrow my room-mate's lap-top (and she is using it to study most of the time).

As to the new trade organization, it's just the first day, and it's not a bad idea; although, I'm not too sure that they will really be able to help...
...I think that the government, BT, FDA, and big pharmaceutical companies will eventually try to take control of the market for their own gain; no matter what
kind of self-governing controls the e-cig industry implements.
For them, it's all about profit$.

The ECF Forum gives e-cig users lots of useful information.
Competition is fierce; and that, in and of itself, is a motivation for vendors' quality control of e-liquids. Inferior products will not bring profits in this market.
(It's the American way!)
I think an educated public is imperative to the future of the e-cig industry!
So, I hope that we will continue to support CASAA in their actions to inform and educate the public, and to fight for vapers.

Good morning Clowder

Hi Mg, good to see you! Supporting CASAA is incredibly important. They support us and have helped a lot here in Alabama as we've fought proposed inclusion of e-ciggs in smoking laws and ordinances. CASAA is separate from the trade association, and as far as i know they intend to stay that way.

and kitty's honest, lol - even when it means losing a customer. it's not easy navigating the e-juice world when allergies are involved and i'd appreciate some industry standards. but i really can't see dues of 5k a year. maybe something along the chamber of commerce's sliding fees - tied to the gross income or number of employees.

Good morning clowder?

Oh noes! The 4 Kitties of the 'Pocalypse! Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Good morning, Trav!

yeah I was offered to try some Halo juice, and I asked what the PG/VG ratio was since over 60%PG gives me hives...and I was told they can not tell me that information......... me off!!!

but then I found Deej :)

So Tuesday Buddy was fixed....and he now has to wear the cone of shame :(

That sort of surprises me about not being able to tell you what the PG/VG ratio was... unless they were concerned about what the flavor-loading does to the ratio.

My mix calculations treat the flavor as if it's PG, since the huge majority of my flavorings use PG as the base. That's why I don't have a 100% VG option... I can never get to 100% in a flavored liquid. I tried... believe me, I tried. Tibby can bear witness to that!
