My building has 208 apartments so there are a dozen washers and as many dryers. Except from 6-10 PM, that's never a problem.

ETA: See you all tonight. Heading to suburbia -- Dad checking out of the hospital today. Based on the weather, I might have to swim there. Why can't the rain move to AZ where they need it?

A flyby good morning, Peeps. :)

Hiya Jerry!

That fire is pretty close Deej...i hope they get it contained without any additional loss of life.

Just listened to the press briefing... they hope to start getting it under control today, but it really is anybody's guess. We started our Monsoon Season (hence the lightning that started the thing), and although it's raining, it's not reaching the ground where it could help. (just heard... a few drops were seen at one of the roadblocks...)

I'm listening to news reports ... mixing is going slowly ...

Yes, please!

Thanks CES. His mood improved immensely the second he got back down the hill to his regular community. He's down in the nursing home where he has to stay for a few days for physical therapy. He was only in the hospital for 4 nights but they had him out of bed so rarely that he lost quite a bit of strength. He has to be able to get in and out of bed by himself and do a few other things to qualify for returning to assisted living. I'm in his room now, getting clothes and things to take down to him.

Deej, that is so scary looking. Keep yourself safe.
(Glad Tucson looks safe so I don't have to contact my cousin.)

Lived in a place like that. Owner had a sign up saying if you left your clothes unattended in a washer/dryer then leave a basket. Otherwise they would be left on the floor.
The owner spent a lot of time there and if he saw clothes left in either for more the 30 minutes, he would take them out.

The renters could do it too but I never did.
Excellent idea. Oh I wanted to, but often times I just went to the bigger laundromat and saved myself the headache. It wasn't too bad, I had it down to- in and out - in an hour and a half(ish)...8 to 10 loads....if it weren't for the expense, I'd probably still do it....but that really nice one closed several years ago.....so prob. not........

Deej, I'm not finding any new info on the fires. My family says they're all good, no issues there....except 118 over the weekend.
Are you still good? I'm headed to bed soon, so if I miss you, I'll check here, or the other thread for traces of cat hair......:D

The fires are still burning... the one over by Kingman (near the intersection of California, Nevada and Arizona) has pretty much doubled... from 900 to 1500+ acres.

The Yarnell fire is still going... I don't have containment info.

All the news reports have focused on the 19, with little additional fire data.

I do know (based on news reports) that people were getting the order to "Get out now!", and 5 minutes later they were literally driving through flames to get out. That's how fast these things are moving.

They had to stop using aircraft over the Yarnell fire due to weather conditions... T-Storms don't make for good flying weather.

They just recently re-authorized aircraft over Kingman...

The Fed has taken command of the Yarnell fire (?)... not sure about the other ones.

Wow. Just wow. Do you think you will have to evacuate??

No. At least, very unlikely.

Wind direction/speed and fuel availability make that unlikely at this time.

Keeping an eye/ear out for evac notices, though.

The map that I linked to earlier is NOT being updated with the latest fire info... grrrrrrr

Just to clarify, I'm not "liking" the content of the text, just letting deej know I've seen it.

Understood... and that's exactly how I "read" that.

=================

I have to go into Prescott Valley for a Dr. Appt tomorrow (not Wound Care... general). Not looking forward to that. Not looking forward to what I know I'm going to see in people's eyes....

I'll keep checking the map, maybe they'll get better updates tonight and have it ready tomorrow. I wouldn't enjoy that trip either.:( Okay, stay safe. Nite Deej. (I knew "you" would know how to "read" my likes....:D....just didn't want anyone else to think.....??....twisted crazy woman....)
no need for a full revelation just yet.....
