Sooo... had a lil fire tonight in the back yard...nothing really unusual, till the fire got to be getting on and dying down...
things were rather nice for a couple hours, enjoying the heat of the flames and the nice smell of burning wood, but then, I got a lil bored, and i wasnt't having all that anymore...so I went into the house and grabbed the bag of
batteries destined for the recycle bin...

yup...IMR cells... and a jolly good bag of em to boot! What to doo....what to do.... got a big ole bed of glowing embers, and a jolly right bag of tired lithium cells... and add a lil alcyhol into the mix and some poor judgement...yeah...good times and great laughs!
So first I toss a lil 350 cell into the coals...it takes about a minute until it spits and sputters and cases an eruption of bluish green flames...not really all that...if you know whAT I mean...so another then another 350 cell goes into the fire,,,same results. then I up the ante and toss a coupe of 650 cells into the coals, and that actually got a little exciting, as they vented rather violently and had rather spectacular flames of bluish green from the escaping gasses. the3n it was on to the pile of 490 cells I was going to recycle...

recycle

yeah...RIGHT!!!
one by one I casually tossed each into the bed of glowing hot embers...and sipped a beer waiting for the inevitable failure of the cells sitting in their bed of red hot coals...each one was a slight variation on a theme...suddenly venting with a beautiful bluish green ball of fire amidst the coals, but one was an exceptionally violent failure of the cell, tossing glowing embers in a fifteen foot radius, and expelling the red hot coiled foil from the cell out onto the cold ground. That cell made a really nice POP as it gave up the ghost
Moma said I ain't right in the head
