Shouldn't Ego/Tornado be with the 510s?

One of the most frequently asked questions on this forum seems to be "what is compatible with my e-cig?" There is a model compatibility list on the wiki, but it is incomplete and overly-complicated. I would like to make a simple list of the different atomizer connector types and what models use them. As far as I can tell, there are six types of atomizer connector. Here is what I have so far:

510

  • Joye 306
  • Blu
  • Dura
  • Titan
  • Yeti
  • KR808A
  • KR808B

Maybe you should note (for the newbs) that adapters are available to use different atty/battery combos. I don't know if there are adapters for all or only most combinations? If only most, then maybe adapter compatibility could be included in the chart (along with advisability of using a given atty with a given batt)? Sorry if this complicates it too much, but, if I had seen this chart at the beginning, I wouldn't know I could use my 510 attys on my kr8 batts or my kr8 cartos on my 510 Screwdriver batt mod:D.

Thank you this makes things so much easier for new people. Now I can stop asking some stupid questions :)

The items in each section are the different names for the same type of atty. You don't buy an "ego atty", you buy an "ego mod" and stick 510 attys on it. See what I mean?

I'm not listing the different types of batteries because then I'd have to list every mod out there and many of them have various atty connector options.

I see. Thanks for clarifying. You're charting what "thread type" the different "brand-name" attys are. What "thread type" each stock battery is would be another chart (although many can be inferred from the names in your chart); And what adapters are available to make different thread types work together would be yet another chart. It's alot of info!

Exactly. This is supposed to be a simple guide for new users, primarily those who bought an uncommon or flashy "brand name" kit and want to find compatible parts which are better/cheaper. A decent percentage of posts in the new user section are along the lines of "I bought a Wackadoodle Smokes-a-lot 9000 kit from some guy at the mall. What is it really and where can I get compatible parts?" With this chart, that person can figure out what type of atty the Wackadoodle uses and see what their options are. Additionally, it is intended to be helpful for people who know what they have, but maybe want to try out different attys/batteries with the batteries/attys they already own.

The M601/M602 looks a lot like the 103, but I couldn't find any definitive statements that it really is identical. I don't want to add it to a list unless I get at least one confirmation.

I found a bigger picture of the 103 online...looks identical to the M602. I'm gonna try ordering an adapter for the 510 battery to test with my next order i place for accessories/liquids.

Hello Candre, yes you are right an Ego/Tornado are types of batteries, but they are also individual products and when I started and bought an Ego a couple of months ago,,,I didn't know that a 510 atty would fit with an Ego.....Most people that I talk to refer to the Ego/Tornado as the same product, just different dealers...It did help me, and saved me a lot of money on attys, knowing that I could use a normal 510 atty with my Ego...
Us noobies don't know the difference....You also buy an Ego/Torando as a complete PV kit...at least I did....Just my two cents worth....
Enjoy....

So when you buy replacement attys for ego/Tornado batts, are you buying an ego/tornado atty or a simple 510 atty? If 510 attys are sold under the name ego/tornado attys, they should go on the chart, shouldn't they? Regardless, that was my point. It took me a while to realize that ego/tornado used 510 attys.

TW makes it extra confusing by labeling its standard 510 attys "Titan" and its LR attys "Tornado", even though both are listed on the accessories pages for Titans and Tornados. Janty calls all their 510 attys "DURA-EGO". I've added the alternate names to the 510 list to compensate for all this branding tomfoolery.

They definitely make it confusing. You are making it less so. Thanks!~

Added the Luci. Does anybody know what threads a 601/602 uses?
