Many medications, including over the counter stuff, even cold meds can cause dry mouth. Are you taking anything at all?

I'm a 10 year MAV sufferer (chronic migraine condition) and take a daily med that cause dry mouth as a side effect and I already drink tons of fluid before I began vaping. Since vaping I noticed a slight increase in my fluid intake but nothing insane.

Anyways, my point is there is hundreds of medications out there that can cause dehydration symtoms like dry mouth and may not be vaping related at all. Medications include cold, depression, pain, anxiety, antihistasmines and decogestants.

I personally think you should see a doctor as health is nothing to mess with and no one here is a doctor and even if some here is, they cannot examine you online lol

Hi Sparkle,
Have you considered taking niacinamide for your migraines?

I can't argue with those suggesting a visit to the doc, and if this is a wholly new thing going on, then yeah, that probably is a very good idea.

But if you're anything like me -- broke and no insurance -- it may not be feasible to go trotting off to the doc for every least little thing, and most docs won't go hmm, you might be dehydrated... they'll try to eliminate the worst possible things they can think of, meaning hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of tests... and most docs are not "hip" to any kind of "medicine" but the pharmaceutical kind -- coconut water wouldn't even occur to them, they'd just say "drink more water," which could actually make the electrolyte problem worse.

So although it might not be a BAD idea to get checked by a doc... trying out the coconut water to see if it helps won't hurt you, and won't hurt your pocketbook nearly as bad as anything a doctor would suggest. If it doesn't help, THEN, definitely see a doc, because if coconut water doesn't help, it's something other than mere dehydration/electrolyte imbalance.

Yes, ah my lips get very chapped from vaping. It didn't matter how much water i drank which ended up being like 4 litres per/day. I used about 10 different brands of he best lip balms largely to no effect. Now i was ordering stuff from China, from health cabin and others. First i ordered pg then i tried vg, vg had exactly the same effect.i have been thinking of ordering stuff from America in the hope that it is better quality. I was just about to try halocigs. Their vg/pg blends are proprietary. I am wondering if the coconut water theory works. One oher thing we could do is set a timer between vapes to reduce our usage. I've also read theories about hot atty's, too short drip tips, nicotine levels eiher too high or too low and flavour allergies. The flavours i like are various coffee flavours tobaacco flavours, caramel...Anyway, it would be good to know what to order and where from based on all of that. Has anyone got it right? Money isnt necessarily an object. But for example at halo you can purchase expedited shipping. Which is because i need it promptly, shipped to me here in Australia, where they so fR do not allow sales of it, oNly imports for personal use. Pleaze, help me wih this issue. As the chapped lips it ah means no i cannot vape and will have to find another way to get off the cigs. I definitely have to get off the cigs. Thank You for your help.

I get a dry mouth especially at night. I drink atleast 3 liters of water a dday. I wake up in the middle of the night with a dry mouth and i know thats not good for oral health.

Im going to try chewing sugar free gum to stimulate saliva. There was an ad on tv for a mouthwash which was also supposed to help with dry mouth. Its called biotene
